Martha Ruth Clinard
Martha Ruth Clinard, 67, of Fairway Trail in Springfield, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 5 (today) at 11 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Oakley, Dr. David Leavell, Dr. Al Thompson and Bro. Martin Babb officiating.
The interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Ms. Clinard was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Robertson County to Marguerite Dean Clinard and the late Berlin Porter Clinard.
She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1957. She also attended Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville, Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, Mo., and Southern Academy of Clinical Technology in Nashville.
She was active in the Nashville Chapter of the League for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Ms. Clinard lived in Robertson County most of her life.
During her marriage, she lived in Sunnyvale, Calif., with her husband, Donald Renick.
She was a faithful member of Springfield Baptist Church, where she was a member of the June Burr Sunday School Class.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde Willis and Jessie Taylor Dean and Walter and Susie Dillard Clinard.
Pallbearers will be her cousins, Jerry Fuqua, Robert Harold Fuqua, Joe Dean Fuqua, Clyde Dean, Mark Dean, David Dean, Henry Dean, Bruce Dean and Ralph Dean.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the June Burr Sunday School Class of Springfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Marguerite Dean Clinard of Springfield; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Vincent Bagwell of Springfield; nephews, Vince Bagwell and wife, Debbie, Scott Bagwell and wife, DeAna, Chris Bagwell and Keith Bagwell, all of Springfield; great-nephews and niece, Walt and Brett Bagwell, Kyle and Kristin Bagwell and Carden Bagwell.

Harriet Villines
Harriet Anna Lucille Clements Villines, 87, of Springfield died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. in Memorial Gardens with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating.
She was born June 12, 1916, in Granville to Ronald Bruce and Bertha Smith Clements. She grew up in Nashville.
She was a retired first grade teacher with the Robertson County Board of Education.
She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ and was a graduate of David Lipscomb College.
Mrs. Villines is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ronald Jr. and Harry Bartlett Clements, and by a grandson, Don Bruce Winters.
Survived by the father of her children, Robert Villines; sons, Bob (Debi) Villines, Van Villines; daughters, Loretta (Jerry) Winters, Lynne Hooper, all of Springfield; a brother, David Clements of Dalton, Ga.; sister-in-law, Loretta Clements of Hickory, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her loving niece, Mimi (Richard) Shepherd of Nashville.

Earl Glen Brewer
Earl Glen Brewer, 87, of Springfield, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. in Memorial Gardens with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating.
Mr. Brewer was born Oct. 22, 1916, in Sadorus, Ill., to the late Herman and Edith Wilson Brewer.
He was a retired maintenance worker for the University of Illinois and was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Carolyn Blackburn Brewer.
Survivors include brothers, Melvin Brewer of Champagne, Ill., and Willard Brewer of Urbana, Ill.; sister, Phyllis Houser of Tuscola, Ill.

Luther Rosco Parks
Luther Rosco Parks, 67, of Adairville, Ky., died at Logan Memorial Hospital Monday, Nov. 3, 2003.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Adairville with Bro. Junior England officiating.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday (today) and again on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery.
He was born April 4, 1936, and worked as a farmer for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Corbin and Nancy Victoria Adams Parks.
Survivors include his sons and daughters, Danny Forgy of Bowling Green and Terry Forgy of Bowling Green, Ky., Nancy Parks of Bowling Green, Ky., Connie Forgy of Russellville, Ky., Pam Parks and Patricia Parks; a brother, Donald Parks; and 12 grandchildren.

Marvin Francis Wooden
Marvin Francis Wooden, 78, died at Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003.
Graveside services were held in the Greenwood Cemetery Saturday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Junior England officiating.
He was born in Adairville, Ky., on Feb. 11, 1925, to the late Henry and Ruby Ramsey Wooden.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Daniel Wooden and Gene Wooden.
Survivors include his brother and sister, Andrew Jackson Wooden and Joanne Stratton, both of Adairville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews, Ray Wooden, Danny Stratton, Ben Stratton, Sherri Hall, Teresa Overbay, Patti Farmer, Dottie England and Martha Ann Graves.
Pallbearers for the service were Danny Stratton, Ben Stratton, Daniel Stratton, Jim Overbay, Richie Pendergrass and Junior England.

Mary Jane Courtney, 66, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at her home in White House.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 1 with Rev. Joey Rogers officiating.
Interment followed at White House Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include sisters, Nancy Briley, Shirley McFadden, Lona Courtney; brothers, Gary, Val and Tom Courtney.

Tennie Johnson
Tennie Johnson, 90, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Page officiating.
Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late John and Etta Groves Duncan and the wife of the late Roger Johnson.
She was a homemaker, loving mother, life-long member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Walter (Sarah) Johnson of Portland; four daughters, Alice Johnson of Nashville; Anna (Bill) Chatman of Cross Plains; Carrie (Allen) Bigbee and Lou Edith (Phil) Lockhart, both of Franklin, Ky.; two sisters, Lou Edith James of Portland; Julia Bell of Cross Plains; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
