Faye Barbee Byrnes
Faye Barbee Byrnes, 68, of Springfield, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 22 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. John Christian and Rev. Jewell Barrett officiating.
Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born February 17, 1936, in Robertson County to the late Claude Anderson and Alene Elmore Barbee.
Mrs. Byrnes was a graduate of Belmont University, with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree.
She was a retired caregiver, and was the pianist for Battle Creek Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She was the first female member of the Springfield Lions Club and was a volunteer with the Robertson County Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Elmore Wayne, Harold Anderson and James Austin Barbee; nephews, Gary Barbee, Steve Barbee.
Mrs. Byrnes is survived by, daughter and son-in-law, Serena Russell and Odie D. Wilkinson of Clarksville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence Wilbur and Ann Barbee of Springfield, Claude Gene and Elsie Barbee of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Margorie and Linda Barbee, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Erica Faye and Derek Austin Wilkinson, both of Clarksville; nieces and nephews, Amelia Faenza and Randy Fletcher, Jeff Barbee, Andrew Barbee, Clariss Parrish, Ava Thompson, Brent Barbee, Kim and Boyce Allen, Lori and James Floyd, Bob and Bobbie Barbee, Susan and Ray Dowell, C.G. and Winn Anne Barbee, Lester and Ruth Marie Barbee; 22 great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great nieces.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Howard Holloway
Mr. Howard Holloway, 76, of Springfield died May 19, 2004, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 22 at the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Woodard officiating.
Interment followed in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Ky.
Mr. Holloway was the owner and operator of Howard’s Market in Springfield for many years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and the Franklin, Ky. Masonic Lodge.
He was born June 4, 1927 in Franklin, Ky., to the late Herschel and Callie Jenkins Holloway.
Mr. Holloway is preceded in death by his wife, Leann Traughber Holloway.
Survivors include his sons, Howard Michael Holloway of Springfield and Joseph Vincent Holloway of Springfield; daughter, Trudy Groves of Springfield; grandchildren, Jeffrey C. Groves, II and Jenny Leann Groves, both of Springfield.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Charles Leroy Hodges
Charles Leroy Hodges, 74, of Orlinda, died Friday, May 21, 2004, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, May 22 at 4 p.m. at Memorial Gardens with Tim Harris officiating.
Mr. Hodges was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Davidson County to the late Roy and Annie Lee Eden Hodges.
He was a retired factory worker and a member of Orlinda Baptist Church.
He was also a veteran of the U. S. Marines.
He is preceded in death by a son, Charles Duane Hodges and a grandson, Anthony Cox.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia Ann and Gary Jackson of Smiths Grove, Ky., and Mary Kimberly and Tony Cox of Orlinda; grandchildren, Chris Marlin, Kevin Marlin, Sadie Marlin and Bridget Cox.
The family requests donations be made either to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Donations may be sent in care of Robertson County Funeral Home.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Gabriel Jones
Robert Gabriel Jones, infant son of Craig Edmond and Shawn Norris Jones of Springfield, died at Skyline Medical Center Saturday, May 22, 2004.
A private family service was held in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home Monday, May 24, 2004 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Don Hutchinson and Dr. Farris Moore officiating.
Survivors, in addition to the parents, include a brother, Joel Bryson Jones and a sister, Anna Ramsey Jones; grandparents, Joel Thomas and Frances Brown Jones of Springfield, Linda Qualls of Springfield and Ed Norris of Knoxville.
Austin & Bell Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Bennie Wayne Gladdish
Bennie Wayne Gladdish, 65, died Friday, May 7, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital.
A memorial service was conducted Monday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at Grace Community Felloship Church with Bro. Dallas Frazier officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Brady Gladdish; sons, Benjie Gladdish, Tim Gladdish; daughters, Christie Carver, Misty Gladdish, Kelly Tancredi, Stacie Tancredi; grandchildren, Lauren and Christopher Carver, Matthew Gladdish, Matthew, Thomas, Chelsea and Taylor Tancredi.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House was in charge of arrangements.

John Robert Parks
Dr. John Robert “Bob” Parks, 79, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at his home following a battle with progressive supranuclar palsy since 2002. An illness he faced with great faith and courage.
A memorial service was conducted Thursday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Hendersonville by Rev. Allen Weller, Rev. Larry Lane and Rev. Ron Lowery.
Burial followed in Neapolis Cemetery in Columbia.
Honorary pallbearers were members of White House Rotary Club, Good Shepherd Sunday School Class, Good Shepherd Seasoned Shephers, American Legion Post 82 and the Methodist ministers of the Tennessee Conference
He was a prominent retired United Methodist Church Ministers of the Tennessee Conference.
Active pallbearers will be Don Eden, Donnie Walters, David Wise, Lanny Wilkinson, Ron Green, Doug Lee, Carl Whitimer and nephews, Brent Ramsey, and Donnie Allen.
He was born March 8, 1931 in Highland Park, Mich., the son of the late Samual Terry Parks and Mary Alberta Hooper Parks and was licensed to preach in 1951.
He married the former Barbara Allen in 1960. Prior to his retirement in 1994, he served as pastor of Methodist churches in Middle Tennessee which included Marble Plains Charge, Almaville Charge, Bell Buckles, U.S. Army Chaplain, St. Johns, McKendree Memorial, Lewisburg First, Dalewood, Crievewood, New Providence, Connell, Carthage, Walkers-Lutons, White House, South End, Christian Voice, Pleasant Grove and Rehoboth.
Following his retirement, he continued to preach at various churches in the conference wherever and whenever needed.
He was a member of the Tennessee Conference United Methodist Church, a member of the National Guard Association, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Scottish-American Military Society, Retired Officers Association, White House Library Board, served on the long range planning for the City of White House and was a member of the Rotary Club, having served as president of Lewisburg, Portland and White House clubs
He was a charter member of the White House Club and received the Paul Harris Fellow honor. His military education included the Army Chaplain School Advanced, Army Command and General Staff College, and Armed Forces Industrial College.
He was a kind, caring minister, loving husband, father and grandfather.
He enjoyed traveling and was he and his wife; Barbara made many trips to England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Korea.
Their favorite vacation spot was St. Simon’s Island, Ga. During his lifetime he continually relied on Romans 8:39-39. “I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angles, nor principalities, nothing present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights, nor depth, not anything else in all creations, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus out Lord.” His entire life was directed by his great love for and faith in God.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William Terry Parks of Portland and John Robert (Lil) Parks, Jr. of White House; one daughter, Mary Ann Parks of White House; four grandsons, Robert Allen Parks and William Richard Parks of Portland, Robert Taylor Parks and Adam Kerry Parks of White House; sister, Harriett Ann Parks of Washington, D.C., beloved friend and caregiver, Olivia Dotson.
The family requests donations be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church CLC Building Fund, 525 New Shackle Island Rd., Hendersonville, TN 37075.
