George Robert Farmer
George Robert Farmer, 64, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at his home in Cedar Hill.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 15 in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Turpin officiating.
Mr. Farmer was retired from American Airlines where he worked in ground operations.
He was born Oct. 21, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Floyd William Farmer and Audry Margarete McGarvin Farmer.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Carol M. Francis Farmer of Cedar Hill; three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Robert and Sherrell Farmer of Pensacola, Fla., John Robert Farmer of Pleasant View, and William Donald and Elana Farmer of Cedar Hill; a daughter, Lisa Ann and son-in-law, Arthur Smoot of Wilton, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Joe Edward Jackson
Joe Edward Jackson, 67, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church with Bro. Douglas Downey officiating.
Burial followed in Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Robertson County on Nov. 14, 1935, to the late Hayward and Pearl Hughes Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Lynn Clinard.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra S. Beaty Jackson of Springfield; step-sons, Jerry Henry of Greenbrier, L.J. Clinard of Adams, Lewis Clinard of Springfield, Curtis Clinard of Greenbrier, Everette Clinard and Joey Clinard, both of Centerville; step-daughters, Lisa Bales of Adams, Tammy Osborne of Keysburg, Ky., Maggie Sharp of Olmstead, Ky., Stacy Crawford of Springfield, Bobbie Harned of Madison, Joann Burns of Nashville, Donna Winchester and Nora Haggard, both of Centerville; grandson, Joseph Lynn Clinard of Springfield; and a sister, Ruby Haley of Cedar Hill; 34 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service were Jerry Henry, Anthony Henry, Bill Bales, Joey Clinard, Everette Clinard, Johnny Winchester and Stephan Henderson.

David Allen Agee
David Allen Agree, 48, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Church at Grace Park, White House, with Rev. Bob Cook officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Agee, of White House; a son, Nathan (Andrea) Agee of Portland; a daughter, Brandy Agee of Antioch; father, Jodie Agee of Dayton, Ohio; sister, Pam Mathis of Dayton, Ohio.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Alive Hospice or Mission One of the Church at Grace Park.

Mildred A. Swift
Mildred A. Swift, 80, died Saturday, July 12, 2003.
Funeral services were held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House at 2 p.m. Monday, July 14 with Rev. Frank Evans and Bro. John Rushing officiating.
Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery.
The pallbearers were grandsons.
Survivors include her husband, Ollie Swift; a daughter, Carolyn (David) Luster; a son, Eddie Ray (Jeanette) Swift; a brother, John White; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Obera Lawrence Murphy
Obera Lawrence Murphy, 94, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at the NHC of Rossville, Ga.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Dr. Farris Moore officiating.
Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was a homemaker and member of the New Chapel United Methodist Church in Springfield.
She was born Aug. 28, 1908, in Montgomery County, daughter of the late John R. and Amelia Elliott Lawrence.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taylor Murphy.
Survivors include her son, Donald E. (Jodi) Murphy Sr. of Silver City, N.M.; grandsons, Don (Lori) Murphy Jr. of Ringgold, Ga., and Jack (Tammy) Murphy of Flintstone, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Caitlin and Matthew Murphy.

Sandra Stuard Cook
Sandra Stuard Cook, 52, of Springfield, died Monday, July 2, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield with Dr. Al Thompson and Geoffrey Butcher officiating.
The interment followed in the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams.
Mrs. Cook was born May 30, 1951, in Robertson County, a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Madge Delma White Stuard Sr.
She was an Executive Vice President with Union Planters Bank.
She was a 1969 graduate of Jo Byrns High School, a graduate of Austin Peay State University, a member of the Financial Women International, a member of the Sales and Marketing Executives, and she attended the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
Survivors include her husband, D. Wiley Cook of Springfield; daughter, Lesley Hewitt of Springfield; brothers, Clarence C. Stuard Jr. of Port Royal and Jerry Ronald Stuard of Trenton, Ky.; sisters, Hellen Bellar of Guthrie, Ky., Bessie Bryant of Adams, Mary Sue Clauson of Port Royal and Delma Woosley of Springfield, Jean Deighton of St. Louis, Mo.

James William Meadows
James William Meadows, 71, of Greenbrier, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Hendersonville Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 13 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Greenwell officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Meadows was born March 30, 1932, in Robertson County to the late Walter Richmond and Novella Prater Meadows.
He was a retired journeyman machinist from AVCO/Aerostructure and was a Baptist.
Mr. Meadows was a member of the Masonic Lodge #753, in Greenbrier, the Al Menah Temple, the Order of Eastern Star # 469, and was a Shriner.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the U.S. Marines.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Rogers Meadows of Greenbrier; daughters, Rita Lockwood of Millersville, Brenda McDaniel of Ridgetop, Gwen Kleva of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla., and Tammy Reagan of Adairville, Ky.; Terry Stratton of Cross Plains, Tommy Stratton of Springfield, Donna Manuel of Chataigner, La.; a sister, Glenna White of Greenbrier; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
