Dorothy Lamberth Lowe of Stone Mountain, Ga., formerly of Robertson County, died Jan. 25, 2003.
Funeral services were held 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 at the Chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point, Ga., with ministers Sam Troute and Ernie Richards officiating.
Interment followed at College Park Cemetery, College Park, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. Lowe and a son, James Harvey Lowe.
She is survived by daughters, Ellen (Larry) Walker of Columbia, S.C., Mary (Van) Stanley of Thompson Station, and Ann (Doug) Hitchon of Jackson; a son, Joseph (Bobbi) Lowe of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Betty) Lamberth of Conyers, Ga.
Johnny W. Allgood
Johnny W. Allgood, 64, of La Vergne died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating.
Burial followed at Middle Tennessee Veteran Cemetery at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27.
He was a native of Springfield, the son of Ethel Smith Allgood and the late Robert Allgood.
Mr. Allgood graduated from Springfield High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was retired from Bill Heard Chevrolet as an automobile technician.
Survivors, including his mother are his wife, Rita Spann Allgood; a son, David W. Allgood of La Vergne; a daughter, Lisa A. Teasley of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Savannah R. Allgood, Faith A. Allgood, Tara D. Teaseley; a sister, Linda West of Springfield; and a niece, Brandi Farmer of Springfield.
Veldon Esco Porterfield
Veldon Esco Porterfield, formerly of Jackson, Robertson and Davidson counties, died Jan. 21, 2003, at Ideal Senior Living Center in Endicott, N.Y.
Funeral services were conducted at noon, Saturday, Jan. 25 at Madison Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Jordan officiating.
Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Services were also held in Owego, N.Y., Jan. 23 for the immediately family.
He was a member of Ruth Ensor Memorial Methodist Church in Old Hickory.
He was a farmer in Jackson and Robertson counties and operated the Porterfield Barber Shop in Old Hickory for many years.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Flora Pate, and Lavona Green.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Geraldine Witcher Porterfield; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Delano and Sara Porterfield of Apalachin, N.Y.; a son, Garry Porterfield of Herefore, Ariz.; grandson and wife, Charles Anthony and Erika Porterfield of San Carlos, Calif.; granddaughter and husband, Susanne and Jose Cornado of Austin, Texas; siblings, Dewey Porterfield and Jewel Sircy.

Charles H. Bollinger
Charles H. “Charlie” Bollinger, 74, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at Bethany Healthcare Center in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Palmitter officiating
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bollinger was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Robertson County to the late Henry and Anne Irene Dillard Bollinger.
He was a car salesman for Action Ford in Springfield, and was a Baptist.
Mr. Bollinger was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served in the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Porter and James Bollinger, and by his sister, Julia Ann Bollinger.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Bollinger of Springfield; a step-daughter, Vicki Trobaugh of Elkton, Ky.; brothers, Gene Bollinger of Springfield, Ronnie Bollinger and Philip Bollinger, both of Greenbrier; sisters, Martha Blick of Greenbrier, Faye Parker of Nashville, Wanda Goad of Madison and Shirley Woodard of Goodlettsville; seven step-grandchildren.

Katherine Virginia Jackson
Katherine Virginia Jackson, 82, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare Center.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Palms Woodlawn Funeral Home in Homestead, Fla.
The interment followed in the Palms Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jackson was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Arkansas.
She was a retired civil service supply clerk for Homestead, Fla. Air Force base.
She was a member of the Homestead Church of Christ in Homestead, Fla.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Preston E. Jackson.
She is survived by a son, Charles Jackson of Homestead, Fla.; daughters, Betty Special of Springfield; brothers, Frank Norwood of Commerce, Ga., Lesley Norwood of San Diego, Calif., Carl H. Norwood of Deland, Fla.; grandchildren, Linda Morel of Springfield, Kenneth Jackson of Homestead, Fla., Randell Koshki, Katherine Allen of Old Hickory; and seven great-grandchildren.

Billy Stuard
William T. “Billy” Stuard, 81, of Springfield, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cato officiating.
The interment followed in Bellwood Cemetery in Adams.
Mr. Stuard was born Feb. 13, 1921, in Robertson County to the late Tom and Flossie Bedwell Stuard.
He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Stuard was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cavender Stuard, brothers, Burton, J.B. Arthur Gene, and Raymond Stuard, sisters, Louise Arms, Reba Arms, Raye Cook.
He is survived by a son, Marvin D. “Danny” Stuard of Springfield; daughter, Joyce McLaughlin of Springfield; brothers, Paulie Stuard of Lewisburg, John Robert Stuard of Kaufman, Texas; sisters, Lena Margaret Davis of Clarksville, Josephine Beardsley of Springfield, and Linda Faye Daniels of Orange, Conn.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Walter Green Clinard
Walter Green Clinard, 75, of Springfield, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at NHC Healthcare Center.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Hinkle officiating.
The interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Clinard was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Robertson County to the late Walter and Madeline Williams Clinard Jr.
He was a retired supervisor from Western Electric and was a Presbyterian.
Mr. Clinard was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of the Civitan Club.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet Hollingsworth Clinard, of Springfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Ann Clinard of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Frieda and Mike McClure of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Denise and Ronnie Holman of Springfield; sisters, Elaine Brooks of Miami, Fla., and Frances Johnson and husband James of Nashville; grandchildren, Scott McClure and wife, Leslie, Stacy Buchanan and husband, Shane, Nicki Edwards and husband, Bradley, Kevin Clinard, Kim Andavazo and husband, Sam, and Keith Clinard; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Max McClure, Keely Buchanan, Adam and Alexis Edwards, and Zack Andavazo.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the United Association of Parkinson’s Disease.
