Raymond Marable
Services for Raymond Marable, of Clarksville, who died Wednesday, Dec. 30, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Marable; a daughter, Maria Marable of Clarksville; brothers, Frank Marable and John Marable, both of Murfreesboro, Edmond Marable of Nashville, and Timmy Marable of Columbus, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Reynolds and Nave Funeral Home in Clarksville.

J.W. "Buddy" Bugg
Services for J.W. "Buddy" Bugg, 71, of Kingwood Drive, who died Thursday, Dec. 31, at home from cancer, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Jennings & Ayers chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Moore and Rev. Woodrow Medlock will officiate.
He was the son of the late James and Louise Underwood Bugg.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Hill Bugg; daughters, These Ann Hastings of Murfreesboro, Janice Sue Bugg of Smyrna; a brother, Wilburn "Butch" Bugg of Murfreesboro; sisters, Margaret Honeycutt and Betty McKinion, both of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A native of Rutherford County, he was veteran of the U.S. Navy. He attended Third Baptist Church and was a retired postal employee.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Raymond E. Jahns Sr.
Services for Raymond Earl Jahns Sr., 67, who died Wednesday, Dec. 30, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with burial in Short Cemetery in Cornersville. The Rev. James Tidwell will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jahns; sons, Kenneth L. Jahns, Raymond E. Jahns Jr., Jimmy W. Jahns and Allen Jahns, both of Murfreesboro; daughters Ellen Ann Jahns, Dorothy Childs; a brother, Johnny Jahns; sisters, Helen Waggoner, Sue Jahns; three stepdaughters; one stepson; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Vervie Green
Services for Mrs. Vervie Grace Reed Green, 91, of Wayne, Mich., who died Friday, May 22, of natural causes in the Oakwood-Annapolis Hospital, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Wayne, followed by burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Livonia, Mich.
A native of Bradyville in Cannon County, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late William Peter and Novella Williams Reed.
She is survived by her husband, Lilburn Green of Murfreesboro; two sons, Mack Green of Romulus, Mich., and Billy Ray Green of Wayne; four sisters, Willie Sam Paschal of Brooklyn, Mich., Ray Mitilda Lawrence of Murfreesboro, Opha Faye Jones of Auburntown and Laurel Ruth Lowe of Readyville; three brothers, Fred Beauford Reed, Clarence O'Dell Reed and Hoyte Hall Reed, all of Murfreesboro; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Green had lived for the past 50 years in Wayne. She was of the Methodist faith and was a homemaker.
Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Harry Will Links Funeral Home in Wayne. The family also will receive friends at the home of her niece, Sammie Mathers, in Dearborn, Mich.

Bertha Rains
Services for Mrs. Bertha Novella Sadler Rains, 91, of 10689 Jim Cummings Highway in Bradyville, who died Friday, May 22, of an extended illness, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Woodbury Funeral Home followed by burial in Midway Cemetery. Odell Powell and Lemuel Underhill will officiate.
Mrs. Rains was a native of Cannon County and was the daughter of the late Ranson Sadler and Alice Lemons Sadler. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Homer Rains, and a grandson, Tommy Rains.
She is survived by three sons, Roy, Clark and Ray Rains, all of Woodbury; two daughters, Thelma Rains of Nashville, and Cora Jean Duke of Coffee County; a brother, Hoyte Sadler of Salem, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rains was a member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ. She was retired from the Colonial Corp., and was a homemaker.
Visitation with the family will be held after 3 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Harold Ray White
Services for Mr. Harold Ray White, 73, who died Monday, May 18, at the Charlton-Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas, were held Friday at J.E. Keever Mortuary in Ennis, Texas, followed by burial in the Rice Cemetery, with the Rev. Eugene Lowe officiating.
Mr. White was a native of St. Albens, W. Va., and was the son of John and Mary Hobbs White.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, of Wilmer, Texas; four sons, Marty White of Murfreesboro, Wyatt A. White of Palm Bay, Fla., Jeffery White of Grant, Fla., and James A. Dodson of Wilmer; a daughter, Cindy Mitchell of Ennis; four sisters, Virginia Rathke and Christine Martin, both of Charleston, W.Va., and Ethel Beavert of Liberty Hill, Texas; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. White was raised and attended school in St. Albens. After finishing school he entered the U.S. Army in the Combat Engineers, and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and the Korean War. He was the retired owner/operator for Allied Van Lines, a member of the Ennis American Legion and the First Baptist Church in Wilmer.

Services for Mr. Robert Marshall Cantrell, Sr., 63, of Cooper Drive, who died Sunday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Dillon officiating.
A native of Davidson County, Mr. Cantrell was the son of Ida Virginia Bass Cantrell of Madison and the late Marshall Link Cantrell. He is survived by his mother and by his wife, Terry Hutson Cantrell; by five sons, Robert M. Cantrell Jr. and Danny Lee Cantrell, both of Nashville, and Donald Ray Cantrell, Darrell Wayne Cantrell and David Allen Cantrell, all of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Tammy Faye Windland of St. Mary's West, Va.; a brother, Jerry Wayne Cantrell of Goodlettsville; a sister, Ann Lewis of Jackson; and 13 grandchildren.
Mr. Cantrell was an employee of Peterbilt of Nashville. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Polly Huffman Hulan
Services for Mrs. Polly Huffman Hulan, 84, of AdamsPlace Health Care Center, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Calvert-Rosenberger officiating.
Mrs. Hulan was a native of Shelbyville, and was the daughter of the late Joshua and Jessie Ruth Trimble Huffman. She was the wife of the late Rev. Roy S. Hulan, former minister of Central Christian Church, who died in 1991.
She is survived by two sons, David Grant Hulan of Naperville, Ill., and Richard Hulan of Arlington, Va.; a brother, Eddie Huffman of Shelbyville; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Smith of Murfreesboro; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Hulan was a member of Central Christian Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Johnnie Lee Gann, Sr.
Services for Mr. Johnnie Lee Gann, Sr., of Hickory Street in La Vergne, who died Sunday at Southern Hills Hospital of an extended illness are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with the Revs. Leon Edwards and Milton Hicks officiating.
Mr. Gann was a native of Rutherford County, and was the son of the late John Gann and Annie Mae Brewer Gann Warrick. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Moore Gann; five sons, Jerry Gann of Smyrna, Johnny Gann Jr., of Arrington and Roger, Ray and Gene Gann, all of La Vergne; by a daughter, Bertie Bess of La Vergne; two brothers, William Gann of Nashville and Ewing Gann of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Evelyn Warrick of La Vergne and Joyce Heath of Smyrna; stepfather, Jim Warrick; two stepbrothers, John and J.T. Warrick, and three stepsisters, Christine Minor, Mary Jane Tyree and Joyce Armstrong, all of Murfreesboro; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gann was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Berlie Orange Melton
Services for Mr. Berlie Orange Melton, of Lascassas Pike, who died Saturday of a tractor accident at his residence are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at High's Chapel in McMinnville, followed by burial in Mt. View Cemetery, with John B. Sessoms and Bob Case officiating.
A native of Grundy County and former resident of McMinnville, Mr. Melton was the son of the late M.R. Melton and Katie Shaver. He is survived by his wife, Fay Carney Melton; two sons, David Melton of Stevens Point, Wis. and Robert Melton of Pulaski, Ga.; a daughter, Linda Harrell of Chipley, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Fay Church of Hyattsville, Md. and Margaret Madewell of Murfreesboro; four sisters, Jewell Taylor of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Clara Dodd of Jamestown, Gladys Cadle of Inverness, Fla. and Robbie Beaver of McMinnville; a brother, Marvin Melton of Deland, Fla.; and 18 grandchildren.
Mr. Melton was a member of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was retired from the real estate and construction businesses. He attended the University of Tennessee, and the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home in McMinnville.
