Jackie James Bragg, 70, passed away Oct. 1, 2003, following an extended illness.
He was the son of the late Ada Simmons Bragg and Clyde Hooper Bragg.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bragg, of Rockvale; four children: Jacqueline Sager (Michael), Jay Bragg (Kim), Jill Jamison (Mark) and Thomas Bragg (Becky), all of Murfreesboro; one sister: Gayle Gilley, of Smyrna; six grandchildren: Savannah Sager, Jonathan Bragg, Nicholas Jamison, Mackenzie Sager, Lauren Jamison and Carter Anderson.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, retired from Chromalox and a veteran of the Korean War.
Cecil Wallace Jordan, 62, of Rockvale, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Alice Hospice of Nashville.
He was the son of the late John and Bessie West Jordan.
He is survived by son Eugene Craft, of Arrington; daughter Lynn Van Meter, of Rockvale; brothers John Jordan, Charles Jordan, Terry Jordan, Gary Jordan and Carl Jordan, all of Murfreesboro; sisters Betty Mullins, of Christiana, and Sara Heaton, of Murfreesboro; and two grandchildren.
A native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County, he was retired from Textron. He attended the Baptist church.
Frank M. Bowling Sr., 52, of Murfreesboro, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at his home.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Margaret Williams Bowling.
He is survived by wife Judy Leathers Bowling; son Frank (Gina) M. Bowling Jr., of Ridgely; daughters Melissa (Bubba) Mankin and Janet Martin, all of Murfreesboro; brother Herbert Bowling Jr., of Jonesboro; sisters Shirley Hayes, of Rockvale, and Jean Lewter, of Madison; grandchildren Lauren and Morgan Mankin and Timothy Martin.
Mr. Bowling was a member of the Cavalry Baptist Church. He was a retired electrician.
Lee Truitt, 51, of Bell Buckle, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003.
A native of Murfreesboro, he was the son of Evelyn Parton Vick, of Old Hickory, and the late Dawes Truitt.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by wife Sharon Truitt, of Bell Buckle; daughters Angela Truitt, of Columbus, Ga., and Jennifer Songer, of Eagleville; son Aaron Truitt, of Cookeville; sisters Dianne Horner, of Murfreesboro, Renee Faulk, of Washington State, and Cindy Dobbins, of Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Truitt was preceded in death by a sister: Vicky Truitt. Mr. Truitt was a member of UPC Pentecostal Church in Smyrna.
Robert Eugene Null, 60, of Smyrna, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003.
He was a native of Davidson County. He was preceded in death by his brothers — Sam, Bo and Richard Null; father Coin Null; sister Doris Creviston Graham; and great-grandchild Ashlynn Waynick.
He is survived by wife Paulette Null; son Scott Null, of Smyrna; daughter Tina Hester, of Smyrna; mother Minnie Null, of Smyrna; brother Harold Wayne Null, of Lebanon; sisters Nancy Graham, of Mt. Juliet, Joan Bertram, of Smyrna, and Shirley O’Donnell, of Eagleville; grandchildren Cindy Hester, Shawn Hester and Kortnie Null.
Mr. Null was a member of First Free Methodist Church of Smyrna. He was a former construction worker.
Vester Bobby Simpson Sr., 60, of Rockvale, Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Louise Simpson.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Simpson of Rockvale; sons Greg Simpson, of Murfreesboro, Shon Simpson, of Detroit, Vester Bobby Simpson Jr., of Rockvale, and Chris Simpson, of Smyrna; brother Rocky Simpson, of Murfreesboro, and Donald Wayne Simpson, of Cleveland; sister Sandra Simpson Lane, of Murfreesboro; grandchild Cameron Simpson, of Smyrna.
Mr. Simpson worked for Capital Airlines. Mr. Simpson was a Baptist.
Steve Eugene Ray, 49, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
Mr. Ray was born in Nashville and made his home in Eagleville. He was a tree surgeon with Seelback and was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Ray.
Survivors include a sister, Denise Watkins (Darrel) Davis, and nephews, Zack and Zeke Watkins, all of Eagleville.
Myrtle Brannon Rogers, 92, of the Longview community, died Monday, Aug 18, 2003 at the Nursing Home of Bedford County Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Johnnie B. and Julia Burns Brannon. She was a homemaker and retired from Model Sportswear after many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Rogers in 1951. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Donnie) Williams, of Rockvale, and Nell (G.W.) Holden, of Longview; a brother, George Ivie Brannon, of Shelbyville; and a sister, Lyndal Brannon Haley, of Shelbyville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Juanita Seivers, 70, Sparta resident died Aug. 21, 2003 at Life Care Center of Sparta.
A retired factory worker, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Era E. Seibers Tindell; and was preceded in death by sons, Terry G. Seivers and Waymon M. Seivers; and daughter, Wanda R. Seivers.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Terry Boles Seivers; sons, Chris J. Seivers of Quebeck, Wetzel Z. Seivers of Unionville, Ronald E. Seivers of Marbleton, Wyo., Randall V. Seivers of McMinnville and Raymond M. Seivers of Nashville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Barbara Jean Byrd Holder, age 71, of the Allisona Community of Williamson County, died Monday, December 26, 2005 in Franklin after an extended illness. She was a native of Rossville, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Thomas Britton and Margaret Juanita Haney Byrd. She was a homemaker, a member of the College Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the Franklin Chapter #449 Order of the Easter Star. Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her husband, James Felix Holder, Sr. who died in 2001 and by a son James F. “Jimbo” Holder, Jr. who died in 1987. Survivors include daughters Wanda J. Jackson of College Grove, Linda Ann Marlin of Thompson Station, Janie Ellis of Fayetteville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and, two great grandchildren.
