Sheila D. Stem, age 51, of Christiana died December 21, 2009. Mrs. Stem was a native of Hohenwald, TN and daughter of the late J.C. and Blanche Goad Bates.
Mrs. Stem is survived by her husband, Grover R. Stem, Sr.; daughter, Lisa (James) Mullins of Rockvale; son, Grover R. (Lisa) Stem Jr. of Christiana; brother, Mike Gulledge of Charlotte, NC; sister, Linda Gulledge of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, James Gibson, Katelyn Stem, John Mullins, Desiree Stem, Jacob Mullins and Leann Mullins.

Robert Michael Deweese Sr., 68 of Arrington, died December 16, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Eva Anita Crocker Deweeese. Mr. Deweese is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Deweese; son, Robert Michael (Susan S. Han) Deweese Jr.; brother, Walker C. Lyle; sister, Eva Mae Loyd; grandchildren, Hannah J. and Sarah J. Deweese.

Gracie Lee Lynch Allen, age 87, of Shelbyville, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Heritage Medical Center. A native of Bedford County, Mrs. Allen was a daughter of the late Hiram Edgar sand Mary Ella Davis Lynch. She was a homemaker and a member of Unionville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Allen who died in 1980, and a sister, Bessie Underwood who died this year.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ruth Tucker of Shelbyville, Connie Uselton of Shelbyville and Dora Elizabeth "Jane" Stubblefield of Shelbyville; four sons, James Edward Allen of Shelbyville, Charles William Allen of Shelbyville, David Michael Allen of Manchester, and Thomas Wesley Allen of Shelbyville; a sister, Mabel Cherry of Alabama; three brothers, Thomas Howard Lynch of Unionville, William Cooper Lynch of Unionville, and Edgar "Junior" Lynch of College Grove; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Manous R. Bracey, Jr., born on February 25, 1919 in Nashville, the son of the late Manous R. and Lenora Bernard Bracey, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Mr. Bracey was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Meridee Bracey; brother, William Marshall Bracey and sister, Mrs. Evelyn B. Wallis. Mr. Bracey is survived by his wife, Fakie Bracey; children, Meridy (Joe) Hunt, Manous (Buddy) Bracey III; three step-children, Susan Frary, Joe Jackson, Larry (Sue) Jackson; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Mr. Bracey and his brother owned Martin Bracey Welch Funeral Home for over 48 years. Mr. Bracey was the oldest living Past President of the TN Funeral Directors Association (1956-1957). Mr. Bracey graduated from the Duncan Preparatory School and the Army Officers Candidate School. He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge #414, Scottish Rite Mason, and past president of the Civitan Club.

Oden Hubert Little, age 92, of the Mt. Vernon community of Rutherford County, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 in Shelbyville. Mr. Little was a native of Bedford County and was a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Stem Little. He was a farmer and a retired truck driver having retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation. Mr. Little was a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Redmond and a grandson, Ralph "Bubba" Marshall.
Mr. Little is survived by his wife of 42 years, Clara Mae Ghee Little of Mt. Vernon community; a daughter, Ann Marshall of Eagleville; a sister, Frances James of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

David Campbell Pegram, 72, of Arrington TN, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at Williamson County hospital, Franklin. He was born in Nashville and his family moved to Estill Springs. He attended MTSU and pursued a carrier in the electric trade in which he earned the title of Journeyman Wireman.
Survivors include his wife Diane Yearwood Pegram; daughter Angela Cheryl Mathisen (Steinar) of Eagleville; sons John Dayton Pegram of Franklin and Roy Waggoner Pegram (Connie) of Manchester; a brother Edward Ronald Pegram (Nina); sister, Mary Lila Miller, both of Tullahoma; grandsons, Timothy Steinar Mathisen (Patricia), Nikolas Owen Mathisen, Kolbein Isaak Mathisen; granddaughters Rachel Kathryn Starr (Christopher), Emily Diane Pegram, Faith Nicole Hoffmire, Landon Grace Pegram, Stephanie Ruth Pegram; great-grandson Alexander Roy Starr; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
David made arrangements with Vanderbilt Medical School for his body to be donated for science. With that in mind, we will not have a traditional funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Anatomical Donation Program or your favorite charity in his honor.
The Family invites you to a celebration of David Pegram’s life in a gathering on Saturday, December, 19th at 1:00 PM. at his daughter and son-in-law’s home on 2558 Cheatham Springs Road, Eagleville. David was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Please join us to celebrate the memories and his life.

Gary Haley, Sr., age 54 of Eagleville, died Saturday December 5, 2009 at home. He was a native of Nashville and the son of the late Sidney Haley and Jeanette Shawver Haley. Mr. Haley was a member of Arrington Church of Christ and an Aircraft Mechanic with DynCorp. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Haley; son, Gary Haley, Jr. of Tullahoma; granddaughter, Katelyn Haley; sisters, Patricia "Missy" (John) Olert of Nashville, Connie (Steve) Parker of LaVergne, Ginger (Chris) York of Antioch, Anita Shaul of Pall Mall.

Mary Nicole "Niki" Horner, age 21, Lebanon, Tennessee, died suddenly December 5, 2009. Survived by fiancé, William Pulley; parents, Troy & Karen Horner & Shane & Lynne Deppermann; devoted sister, Jessie Horner (Jason Tyree); brothers, David & Brad Turner and Chance Horner; grandparents, John & Irene Horner, Alfred & Mary Sanders, Carolyn Ferguson, Robert & Linda Deppermann, Carolyn Deppermann; great grandparents, Clara Ferguson, Helen & Dale Deppermann; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Cecil & Ida Horner, Horace & Ruby Meadors, Douglas Sears, Harold Ferguson. Niki was an employee of Suntrust bank in Lebanon and a member of Wilson County Saddle Club. Niki lived every moment to the fullest. She will remain in our hearts forever!

Edward Morgan Toney, age 47, of Monterey, TN, died Saturday, December 5, 2009. A native of Jasper, Mr. Toney was a son of the late Robert Kirby and Lillie Carver Chaffin who survives. In addition to his father, Mr. Toney was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Toney and a grandchild, Brandon.
Survivors are three sons, Eddie Vaughn of Kentucky, Eddie Ford and Anthony Ford, both of Monterey; two sisters, Ruby Dyer of Jasper and Alice Chaffin of Eagleville; a brother, Ernie Chaffin of Murfreesboro; Mother and step-father, Lillie C. Chaffin and Leo Chaffin of Eagleville; one grandchild.
For those who wish, Memorial Donations may be given towards Mr. Toney’s funeral expenses.

Annie Laurie "Ann" Comstock Smotherman, 93, of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at Boulevard Terrace Nursing Center. Mrs. Smotherman was a native of Springhill and a longtime resident of Murfreesboro. She was a member of Farris Chapel Methodist Church. Mrs. Smotherman was preceded in death by her parents, William Albert and Mary Lynn Vaughn Comstock; husband, Lester N. Smotherman Jr; son, Butch Smotherman; grandson, Kerry B. Fox. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Dene) Porter and Gay (Ken) Kizer, all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jerry (Marcy) Porter, Daniel (Trish) Porter, Ken Fox, Jr and Keven (Rachel) Fox; three great grandchildren; Katie Porter, Alex Porter, Peyton Fox; nieces and nephews.
