William Roy "Bill" Newsom, age 53, of the Wheel community of Bedford County died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital. A native of Bedford County, Mr. Newsom was a son of the late William Frank and Frances Lynch Newsom. He was a mechanic and attended the Baptist Church.
Survived by a son, James William Newsom of Tullahoma and a step-son, Samuel Newsom of Shelbyville; five sisters, Carolyn Sharp, Debra Newsom and Patricia Newsom of Unionville, Cathy Prouty of Shelbyville, and Mary Leverette of the Longview community of Bedford County; seven brothers, Thomas Lynch, John Lynch, Claude Newsom, Doyle Newsom and Timmy Newsom, all of Shelbyville, Leslie Newsom of Chapel Hill and Randy Newsom of Unionville; three grandchildren. Also survive by nieces and nephews.

James "Jimmy" Tucker, age 47, of Petersburg, TN, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Tucker was a son of the late Wilson and Elsie Layne Tucker. Prior to his illness, he was a welder for Calsonic.
He is survived by five daughters, Lonnie Gappa of Milwaukee, WI, Jamie Tucker and Orlana Henley of Taylorville, IL, Kristen Reccord of Manchester, and Laura Walden of Shelbyville; three sons, Timothy Tucker of Shelbyville, Shane and Daniel Reccord of Unionville; five sisters, Lucy Hill of Manchester, Mattie Murray and Novella Layne of Pelham, Annie McCord of Nashville; three brothers, Junior Tucker of Pelham, George Layne and Kelly Layne of Monteagle.

Betty Sue Watson, age 62, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benton and Mary Alice Fields. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, James Watson; daughters, Cheri Andrews (Edward) and Melissa Wiebe (Dennis); sons, Greg Robinson (Jeannie) and Cary Watson; three sisters; one brother; and nine grandchildren.

Billy F. Bush Sr., of the Bunker Hill community of Rutherford County died Monday, April 21, 2008. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Ira Lee and Emma Loueve Taylor Bush. Mr. Bush was retired from Home Roofing Inc. of Murfreesboro and was a member of Rockvale First Independent Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Foster Bush of the Bunker Hill community; two sons, Billy F. (Leslie) Bush Jr. of the Bunker Hill community and John C. (Jacqueline) Bush of Rockvale; three sisters, Ethel Leverette and Linda Lynch, both of Unionville and Clara Belle Brasselton of Taft; a brother, Thomas E. Bush Sr. of Murfreesboro; and five grandchildren, Tyler, Jennifer, Samantha, Maxie and Jonathan Bush.

Milton Lee Crafton, age 87, of the Cross Keys Community of Williamson County, Died Sunday, April 20, 2008 in Franklin. Mr. Crafton was a native of Williamson County and was a son of the late Roy and Nellie White Crafton. He was a life long farmer and was retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation. Mr. Crafton was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church and loved his family and gospel singing. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo "Jean" White, a brother, Thomas E. Crafton and a grandson, David Wesley Harper.
Mr. Crafton is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Elbert Estell Sampson Crafton of Cross Keys Community; two daughters, Sue Crafton Flippen and Ronelda Crafton, both of College Grove; sister Josephine Crafton Potts of Lewisburg; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.

Frances L. Russell, age 74 of Murfreesboro, died at home on Friday, April 18, 2008. A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lorena Brazil Taylor II.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Rye of LaVergne, Annette Hudson of Eagleville, Harriett Brooks of LaVergne, Harry (Hazel) Russell III of Murfreesboro, Rebecca Howard of Bradyville and David Russell of Springfield; sisters, Margaret Neal and Emily Wiser both of Smyrna, Annett Dunn of OR; brother, David Taylor; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Russell was retired from Krispy Kreme in Nashville and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Annie Lizzie Haynes Ralston Chrisman, age 86, precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2008, at Life Care Center of Red Bank, Chattanooga.
She was a lifelong resident of the Triune community of Williamson County and of Eagleville. Mrs. Chrisman was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Charles Ralston who died in 1979, and her brothers, Jody, Frank and Jack Haynes.
Survivors include her second husband, Buford "Dave" Chrisman of Eagleville; daughters and son-in-laws, Faye (J.C.) Hitchcock of Signal Mountain, Nancy (Dan) Clower of Chattanooga, Rachel (Jim) Cowart of Signal Mountain; son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Janice) Ralston of Murfreesboro; sister, Mary Alice (Gordon) Lamb of Eagleville; grandchildren, Angela (Rolando) Apablaza, Zachary (Laurie) Cowart, Holly Cowart, James Hitchcock, Kelly Hill and Courtney Cowart; and great-grandchildren, Alexia Tatiana Apablaza and Harper Delaney Cowart.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Shoulders and Jesse (Mini Me) Shoulders of Antioch; father, Jesse Patterson Jr. of Smyrna; mother, Mattie Lannom Patterson of Smyrna; brother, Mike (Mary) Patterson of Eagleville; sisters, Wanda (John) Bond of LaVergne, Joanne McCurley of Smyrna and Lisa (Steve) Duke of LaVergne; grandparents, Mattie E. Potts of Murfreesboro and Rose E. Patterson of Smyrna; and special friend, Michael Bland of Garden City, SC.
She was a waitress, member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcie Patterson. Her philosophy in life was "Love Always and Bigger than the Universe".

Audrey Geneva Jackson, age 74, of Chapel Hill, died Friday morning, April 11, 2008. Mrs. Jackson was born in Davidson County and was a daughter of the late Andrew James and Ruby Irene Donelson McWhirter. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was retired from Walgreens, Inc.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Jackson of Chapel Hill; daughter, Debra Diane Coggins of Pleasant View; three sons, Darrel Dwayne Davis of Eagleville, Dorris Dale Davis of Chapel Hill, Charles Dwayne Jackson of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Irene Painter of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
