Laura Bell Reburn, age 91, died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. A native of Morganfield, Kentucky, she was a homemaker, a member or the Eastern Star and a member of Grace Fellowship Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Hiram and Mary Sue Nelson Miller, her husband William Bruce Reburn and a son William Chester Reburn. She is survived by sons, Wayne Reburn of Murfreesboro, Charles Reburn of Sturges, Kentucky, and Willis Reburn of Morganfield; daughter, Ann Reburn Brown of Eagleville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerry Wayne Baxter, age 58, of Murfreesboro died Friday, December 30, 2005 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A native of Rutherford County, he was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and a graduate of Rockvale High School. He retired in 2000 from the Murfreesboro Fire Department as a driver. He was a county commissioner of Rutherford County and a member of the Rutherford County Road Commission. He had served on the Advisory Board of Bank of Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey A. Baxter, and brothers Charles Ray and Horace Baxter.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Marilyn Mott Baxter; sons Troy Baxter and Tyler Baxter, both of Murfreesboro; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Ryan Brewer of Lascassas; his mother, Rachel Victory Baxter of Murfreesboro; brothers Eddie, Dorris and John Baxter, all of Murfreesboro; sisters Connie Reed of Murfreesboro and Rhonda Harris of Shelbyville; and grandson Brian Williams of Murfreesboro.

Eva Ford Calfee, age 97, a long time resident of Colonial Colony South, Daytona Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in Florida. Mrs. Calfee was born in Eagleville and moved to Daytona Beach in 1951 from Nashville. She retired in 1976 after 19 years as a secretary in the Registrar's office at Mary Karl Vocational School which became Daytona Beach Community College. She cherished her family most of all and enjoyed basketball, gardening and giving and receiving "Granny Hugs" from her grandchildren. Mrs. Calfee was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church and a wonderful witness to many of her Christian faith.
Survivors are her son, Larry Ford of Daytona Beach, Florida; sister Mrs. Sue Johnson of Nashville; two granddaughters; and five great grandchildren..

Roscoe "Whack" Perrell Jr., age 78, of Unionville, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at his home. Mr. Perrell was a native of Rutherford County and was a son of the late Roscoe and Mary Sue Maupin Perrell. He was a member of the Eagleville Baptist Church and was a retired heavy equipment operator and farmer. Mr. Perrell was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Perrell Lester Lorance, and by a brother, George Phillip Perrell.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline White Perrell of Unionville; a daughter, Hazel Teresa Perrell Jenkins of Greenville, Kentucky; sons Roscoe Stephen Perrell of Unionville and Kenneth Edward Perrell of Jackson, Arkansas; sisters Bessie Lee Mosley of Eagleville, Margaret Perrell Ryan of Eagleville, Anita Perrell Hargrove of Eagleville, Jane Perrell Shelton of Eagleville, Shirley Perrell Crick of Eagleville and Polly Perrell Riggan of Lebanon; a brother, John Perrell of Nolensville; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Jimmie Drue Terrell, Jr., age 43, of Brush Creek, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness. A native of St. Cloud, Florida, Mr. Terrell was the son of Jimmie Drue Terrell, Sr. and Catherine Drake Ashcraft. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker.
Survived by his wife, Brenda Breeden Terrell of Brush Creek; sons, Jeffery and Jason Weatherly of Lewisburg; his parents, Jimmie (Shirley) Drue Terrell, Sr. of Eagleville and Catherine Ashcraft of Edwardsburg, MI; sisters, Jessica Terrell of St. Cloud, FL; Julie James of Edwardsburg, MI: Tammy Worm of Columbus, OH; brothers, Donald Ashcraft, Jr. of Edwardsburg, MI; Billy and Bobby Strange of Florida; Barry Strange of Eagleville; 2 grandchildren.

Johnnie Mai Lane Allison, age 91, of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, December 28, 2007, at Community Care of Rutherford County. She was a native of Wilson County in the Norene community but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. She retired from White Stag Company and was a member of the Walter Hill Church of Christ.
Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her first husband, Myles Lane, and later her husband, Ray S. Allison; and parents, Charlie T. and Frances L. O Neal Timbs. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers. She is survived by sons, Jerry Lane of Murfreesboro and Dalton Lane of Rockvale; daughters, Evelyn Harrelson of Nashville, Janice Warren of Orlanda, Fla., Helen Warren and Myles Boone, both of Murfreesboro; and a brother, Harley Timbs of LaMirada, Calif.

Jean Clay, age 94, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Friday, September 23, 2011 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Mrs. Clay was born in Marshall County and was a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Patrick and Ethel Derryberry Aldridge. Mrs. Clay was a life long member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Gordon Clay who died in 1961.
Mrs. Clay is survived by a daughter, Joy (Joe) West, Tipton, Georgia; two sons, Carl (Brenda) Clay, Goodlettsville, TN, Bobby (Patsy) Clay, Mt. Juliet, TN; sister Lois Puckett, Pulaski, TN; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Lorene O’Dell, age 95, of Eagleville, TN died Monday, September 19, 2011. She was born September, 7 1916 in the Link Community in Bedford County and was the daughter of the late George Frank and Leila Myrtle Williams Brown. Mrs. O’Dell is also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. O’Dell; sisters Polly Buckner, Clarabelle Weaver and Ida Brown; and brother Houston Brown.
Mrs. O’Dell is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Diane (Gregory R.) Greer of Hancock, MI. and Patti (Jimmy) Smotherman of Eagleville, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Kendra Smotherman-Davis and Craig Davis of Eagleville, Katie (Joey) Taylor of Eagleville, Karyl (Mike) Paul of Eagleville, Gerald Greer of Brighton, MI and Michael Greer of Minneapolis, MN; a great-grandson, Lane Taylor of Eagleville; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia (Hershel) Jackson of Eagleville; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, James O. (Bess) Brown of Murfreesboro and Homer (Greta) Brown of Rockvale.
Mrs. O’Dell was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was a 1934 high school graduate of Unionville Community School and a 1939 college graduate from Middle Tennessee University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She worked on the Manhattan Project at Oak Ridge, during World War II, where she was a machine operator and an FBI agent. Mrs. O’Dell was a retired school teacher from the Western School District in Parma, Michigan. She was a 2nd grade school teacher at Parma Elementary and taught 20 years, from 1958 to 1978. Mrs. O’Dell enjoyed quilting and reading. The O’Dell family wishes to express their undying gratitude to the wonderful care the employees of Adams Place gave to Mrs. Lorene during her six and a half year stay.

Virginia Aline Mullen Turner, Age 85, passed away on September 3, 2011. Born June 13th, 1926, to parents Percy and Levy Mullen in Nashville, TN, she lived most of her life there until moving to Eagleville, TN in 1979 and residing the last two years at Rutland Place in Mt. Juliet, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Norman Douglas Turner. She is survived by sons Steven (Paula), Mark (Deneen), and David, grandchildren Benjamin, Andrew, Campbell, Belle, and Mitchell Turner. Virginia dedicated her life to serving her Lord and her family. She taught children's Sunday School for many years and was always involved in her church. She also volunteered at Southern Hills Hospital for twenty years. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, and active in the McClendon SS class and Senior Adult Ministry. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow at First Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, TN located at 735 N. Mt Juliet Road, Mt Juliet, TN 37122(615-754-2525). A private burial service with family and extended family will be held on Wednesday, September 7. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, "Journey of Grace Capital Campaign," a children's ministry building fund. Arrangements by Woodbine Funeral Home - Hickory Chapel.

Alma Leathers Hill, of Rockvale, died August 28, 2011 at home. She was a native of Rutherford County and daughter of the late John Bell and Mary Dyer Leathers.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hill, Jr. and a son, Kenneth Wayne Hill.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Windrow Methodist Church and a graduate of Eagleville High School.
Mrs. Hill is survived by sons, Charles David (Yun Xiong) Hill, Rockvale, Milton Douglas (Janna) Hill, Rockvale, and Michael Ray Hill, Rockvale; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Duane) O’Keefe and Valerie Hill; and great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Abbey O’Keefe. Woodfin Memorial Chapel
