Joseph S. Tucker Sr.
Services for Joseph Samuel Tucker Sr., 76, Smyrna, who died Wednesday, June 24, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial in Tucker cemetery. Kenneth Hubbard will officiate.
A native of Maury County, his parents were the late Joe Tom Tucker and Mary Blanche Bloodworth Tucker.
He is survived by four daughters, Patricia Vandiver of Moulton, Ala., Mary Berry, Agnes Brewer, both of Smyrna, Sandra Pompa of Nashville; a son, Joe Tucker Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Jess Tom Tucker of Smyrna; two sisters, Agnes Howell, Marie Nash, both of Nashville; 10 grandchildren.; and eight great-grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired plumber.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel.

Grover Lee Estes
Services for Grover Lee Estes, 76, of Big Hill Road, Liberty, who died Wednesday, June 24, at Columbia Stones River Hospital, Woodbury, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodbury Funeral Home chapel with burial in Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery. Odell Powell and Freddie Curtis will officiate.
His parents were the late Robert Estes and Hassie Anderson Estes.
He is survived by his wife, Viella Thomas Estes of Short Mountain community; a son, Lonnie Estes of Short Mountain; four daughters, Dorothy Hobbs of Pea Ridge, Ruth Murphy, Betty Tanner, Virginia Waycaster, all of Short Mountain; a brother, Frelin Estes of DeKalb County; three sisters, Ruby Lawson of Rutherford, Lorene George of DeKalb County, Louise Taylor of Short Mountain; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A member of Short Mountain Church of God and a farmer, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today and all day Friday at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Sandra Kay Ramsay
Services for Mrs. Sandra Kay Morgan Ramsay, 32, Bradyville, who died Wednesday, June 24, of injuries from an auto accident, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Ramsay; a son, Brandon Ramsay of Bradyville; two daughters, Amanda Ramsay, Ashley Ramsay of Bradyville; parents, Johnny and Bobbie Morgan of Smyrna; two sisters, Teresa Wright of Knoxville, Melissa Crowder of Smyrna; and a brother, Steven Morgan of Smyrna.
A native of Bedford County, she was an employee of NHC Healthcare of Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 tonight at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Services for James Cross Jr., 29, Nashville, who died Tuesday, June 23, in Dickson from results of an auto accident, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Ransom Temple C.P. Church, Nashville, with burial in Sand Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Austin will officiate.
He is survived by his mother, Alene Cross of Nashville; father, James Cross Sr. of Smyrna; a son, Marius Battle of Nashville; a sister, Sherry Green of Nashville; grandfather, Naron Buchanan of Nashville; grandmothers, Mildred Cross of Nashville, and Pauline Buchanan of Nashville.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Annette J. Ainsworth
Services for Mrs. Annette June Cohen Ainsworth, 74, of Carol Drive, who died Thursday, June 25, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Northminster Presbyterian Church with burial in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. M.B. Jackson will officiate.
Her parents were the late Albert Cohen and Sarah Rosenberg Cohen.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Ainsworth of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Carol Ann Ainsworth of Murfreesboro; and a sister, Marie Pick of Kansas City, Mo.
A member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and a native of Kansas City, she had lived here since 1958. She was a registered nurse, having practiced in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. She was also a member of the Almaville Extension Homemakers Club.
Memorials may be made to her church and to the Middle Tennessee Kidney Foundation.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Marion J. Jensen, 84, Murfreesboro, who died Thursday, June 25, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Boston, Mass., her parents were the late Louis Lippman and Frances Glasser Lippman, and her husband was James H. Jenson, who died in 1992.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Lane of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Beatrice Glickman, Dorothy Fine, Ruthie Edwards, all of Boston; a grandson; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
She was a retired secretary with the Civil Service Administration and a member of the Business & Professional Womens Club and the Womens Moose Club. She had attended Boston University and George Washington University.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Ira N. Benson
Services for Mr. Ira N. Benson, 87, of Murfreesboro, who died Thursday at his home are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, followed by burial in Altamont Cemetery in Altamont, with Ken Thomas and Donald Helton officiating.
Mr. Benson was a native of Rutherford County and was the son of the late John and Monica Nesbitt Benson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bess Benson; two daughters, Clarene Snell of Manchester and Janie Batey of Nashville; three step-sons, Larry, Michael and Ricky Phillips, all of Chattanooga; three step-daughters, Cathy Johnson and Brenda Ellis, both of Chattanooga, and Peggy Ward of Manchester; 21 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Benson was a member of Riverdale Church of Christ and was the retired owner of Benson Cleaners. He attended David Lipscomb College. Visitation with the family will be held after 6 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late David Frank Batey and Tempie Ransom Crutcher Batey.
He is survived by his wife, Ceacy Ruth Henderson Batey; two sons, David W. Batey and Gary Henderson Batey, both of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Ceacy Bradford, Annette Pittard, and Mary Wheeler Richardson, all of Murfreesboro; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Walter Hill Church of Christ.
