Death: June 5, 2013
Laurel Fay Forsberg, age 56, of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Werner and Shirley Aulwurm Forsberg.
Ms. Forsberg is survived by her sister; Jill Forsberg of Liberty, brother, Scott and his wife, Wanda of Oklahoma, half sister; Dr. Bonnie Flowers of Canada, and her loving companion for 16 years, Dennis Seehof of Murfreesboro.
Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Hopkins, Jackie Joe died Thursday, January 11, 2007.
Funeral services Monday 3:30 pm, Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Bro. John M. Young, Jr.
Services for Bro. John M. Young, Jr., 81, of Nashville, who died Sunday, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wingate Church of Christ with burial at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Wendell Byrd, Darryl Lewis, Carter Woodruff, Willis Wells and Thomas Cook will officiate.
A native of the Rucker community, he was the son of the late John M. and Callie Downing Young.
He is survived by wife Virginia Golighty Young; son and daughter-in-law John M. and Marlene Young, III; daughter and son-in-law Janis and Stan Gunselman; brother James C. Young; and three grandchildren.
Bro. Young was the former minister of Wingate, Fosterville and Maps Hill Churches of Christ.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on today at Hickory Chapel.

Thelma Herrod McElroy
Services for Thelma Herrod McElroy, 88, of Lascassas, who died Saturday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Wylie David and Ruth Kane Craddock Herrod.
She is survived by daughters, Patsy (Frank) Morris, of Lascassas, Judy (Pettus) Read, of Rockvale, and Sandra (Terry) Parks, of Murfreesboro; brothers, John Herrod, of Murfreesboro, and Wylie Herrod, of Antioch; sisters, Sara Davenport, of Lascassas, Ella Mae Mai, of Idaho; grandchildren, Will Morris, Katie Parks, Shane Read, Nina Read and Meredith Parks; great-grandchild Avery Morris.
Mrs. McElroy was a member of the Lascassas Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Keele McElroy, who died in 1991.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stones River Manor Assisted Living.
Visitation with the family will be 4-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Murfreesboro.

Verdia Ann Walton
June 8, 2013
Verdia Ann Walton, age 72, of LaVergne, died Saturday June 8, 2013.
A native of Centerville, Tennesee, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Annie Olene Dunnagan Estes.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Walton, son, James Walton, Jr., brother, Ernest William Estes, and a sister, Annie Pearle Adams.
Ms. Walton is survived by daughters; Laura and her husband, Frank Manus of Murfreesboro, Constance and her husband, Freddy Eells of Readyville, son, James and his wife, Luana Walton of Smyrna, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sisters, Elesie and her husband, Tom of Cookeville, and Sue Norris of Gallatin.
Visitation will be 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, with Brother John Herdman officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Devine, Virginia Haynie
Devine, Virginia Haynie, age 97, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Nashville, died October 1, 2007.
Graveside services Wednesday 2 pm Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Nashville.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jessie Haynie of Birmingham and Anniston, Alabama.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Frances Hall and Jean Crow, both of Anniston, Ala.
She was married to the late Ottis E. Devine in 1936 and moved to Nashville, where he joined WSM.
She was a great partner and loyal supporter of his career in radio, television and the Grand Ole Opry, where he was manager.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is also survived by Gina Bullen and her husband, Bob of Murfreesboro; Carol Devine Carson of New York City, and Alan Devine of Nashville.
Her six loving grandchildren, who called her "Nana", are Alex Carson, of Atlanta; Kristin Adcock and her husband, Scott, Courtney Rowland and her husband, Mark, all of Murfreesboro; Sara, Nelson, and Chase Devine of Nashville.
The four great-grandchildren, Austin and Taylor Rowland and Ansley and Camryn Adcock are from Murfreesboro.
She will be missed as a creative homemaker and gifted seamstress, a curious reader, avid gardener, bird lover, and, later in life, a serious golf follower.
Memorials may be made to the Virginia Devine Memorial Fund at Sunnington Assisted Living in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Wall, Robert P. “Bob”
Wall, Robert P. “Bob”, age 62, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday at St. Thomas Hospital.
Funeral services Wednesday 4 pm with Rev. Philip Jackson officiating, burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation with the family Wednesday 3 pm in the chapel.
He is survived by a brother, Jim Wall of Rome, GA, fiancé, Margaret Scott; cousins, Howard and Sally Wall of Murfreesboro, and Dr. Hershel “Pat” and Jean Wall of Memphis; aunt, Betty Reed Paschal of Woodbury.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Martha Knox Wall, and a brother, Jack Wall.
Mr. Wall was a 1964 graduate of Central High School, attended World Outreach Church, and was Behavioral Instructor at Tennessee Rehabilitation Center in Smyrna.
