Christopher T. Bond

Funeral Location: Scales and Sons Funeral Home

Christopher Thomas Bond left a legacy of pure love to his parents, Rebecca Lynn and Torre Juan Patrick, his brother, Tre’ J. Patrick, his church family at Brandon Chapel’s Missionary Baptist Church and his Special Olympic comrades.
He was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, on June 15, 1982 and started his trademark of waking up with a smile on his face.
His family moved to Christiana, Tennessee, and there, he greeted each day with happiness and anticipation of being with his parents and little brother, Tre’ and enjoying the things that were near and dear to him.
Christopher loved to be outdoors, whether it was “training” for his events in the Special Olympics or playing with the family pet Rottweiler named “Bronx”.
The softball throw and the assisted wheelchair race were the two Special Olympic events that Christopher entered every year for the past 10 years.
When he wasn’t outside, he could often be found sitting in front of the family television watching his favorite TV show called “Cops”.
He really loved this show and could even recognize the “Cops” theme song, whenever he heard it.
In addition to his favorite TV show, Christopher had some favorite foods that he liked to eat.
All of the traditional “Thanksgiving” type foods were favorites of his.
He loved the turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes and all the trimmings.
For dessert, he enjoyed having ice cream.
It didn’t matter which flavor he was given, as long as it was ice cream.
He also really enjoyed applesauce and all flavors of yogurt.
Most people that knew Christopher will remember the enthusiastic way that he greeted people with a handshake and a hug.
He never met any strangers and would immediately shake your hand, as if you didn’t have a choice.
He extended his signature handshake to his fellow church members at Brandon’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Fosterville, TN, and knew exactly when to settle down, fellowship and listen to the church service.
In addition to his parents and brother, he is survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
