Dudley Wood
Services for Dudley Wood, La Vergne, who died Tuesday, July 21, at Smyrna Medical Center, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. Jon Gary Williams will officiate.
His parents were the late Robert Hatton and Fannie Jane Tune Wood.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A member of Rock Springs Church of Christ and a retired educator of 44 years, he had taught in Rutherford, Williamson, and Davidson counties. After retiring, he served seven years as Utility District manager for the City of La Vergne.
Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel.

Pauline A. Dickens
Graveside services for Pauline Adcox Dickens, 83, Murfreesboro, who died Tuesday, July 21, at NHC Healthcare of Smithville, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Eugene Cotey officiating.
A native of Eldorado, Ill., her parents were the late John Adcox and Lona Ponder Adcox.
She is survived by a son, Jason Pankey Jr. of Murfreesboro; a brother, John Adcox of Great Falls, Mont.; a grandson, Jason Pankey III of Murfreesboro; and two great-grandsons.
A member of the First Baptist Church, she was a former bookkeeper for Shelly Insurance Agency.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Wilma Ruth Hutchison

Her parents were the late Harvey Lamb and Daisy Mahan Lamb.
She survived by her husband, James Grant Hutchison Sr. of Lascassas; two sons, James Grant Hutchison Jr., William Lee Hutchison, both of Lascassas; two brothers, Jimmy Lamb of Nashville, William Lee Lamb of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Martha Jo McNair and Judy Parrish, both of Murfreesboro.
She was a homemaker.

Martha E. Carlsen
Graveside services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Carlsen, 81, Columbus, Ga., who died Friday, July 17, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center of a brain tumor and cancer, are set for 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Petersburg, Fla., with the Rev. Rock Delbridge officiating.
Her parents were the late John Hugo and Marie Lisa Johanson.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Carlsen of Smithfield, R.I.; two daughters, Carolyn Martha Casselberry of Murfreesboro, Judith Ann Loach of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Catherine Hanks of Columbus, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held later at Advent Lutheran Church.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
She had lived in Clearwater, Fla., for 15 years before she retired in Georgia. She and her late husband lived in the Chicago, Ill., suburbs of Wheaton, Napersville, and Glen Ellyn, and attended the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church. She had lived here with her daughter Carolyn Casselberry.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of Murfreesboro.

Lawrence J. Zarth
Services for Lawrence Johnson Zarth, 71, Nashville, who died at home Tuesday, July 21, are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Elam Cemetery. John Young will officiate.
A native of Minnesota, his parents were the late Marino Zarth and Ella Johnson Zarth.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Ready Elam Zarth; two sons, John Zarth, Terry Zarth, both of Nashville; two daughters, Peggy Rodgers of Nebo, Ky., Susan Kelly of Nashville; a stepson, Ed "Sonny" Elam of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Donna Patterson of California, Harriett Ellis, Myra Cornman, both of Minnesota; a brother, John Zarth of Minnesota; seven grandchildren.; four stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
A veteran of World War II with the U.S. Army, he was a retired employee of Heil Quaker Co. He was a Mason, Shriner, and member of the Observance Lodge in Nashville.
A Masonic service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with visitation from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

P. William Vaught
Services for P. William Vaught, 79, Murfreesboro, who died Thursday, July 23, at AdamsPlace, are set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale, Ind., 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Mark Gregory will officiate.
A native of Atherton, Ind., his parents were the late Russell Hale and Anna Snodgrass Vaught.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffry L. Vaught of Glenmore, Pa., Larry C. Vaught of Roseville, Calif.; a sister, Esther Roberts of Speedway, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
A member of the First Baptist Church and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a retired professor and former dean of the School of Business at MTSU. A Mason for 50 years and a member of Kappa Alpha Order, Alpha Kappa Psi, Phi Mu Alpha, Sinfonia, Pi Omega Pi, Delta Pi Epsilon, Moose Lodge, and the American Marketing Association, he had lived here since 1961.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kappa Alpha Memorial Scholarship Fund, MTSU Foundation.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

A member of the Church of Life, she was a homemaker.

A member of the Middle Tennessee Baptist Church and a native of Davidson County, he had lived here most of his life. He was a student at Holloway High School.
