Lawrence Till
Graveside services for Mr. Lawrence Till, 83, who died Thursday at the York VA Medical Center are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, with Robert Greene, Craig Green and Mike Cantrell officiating.
Mr. Till was a native of Lake Carmorant, Miss. He was the son of the late Eugene Clifton and Sallie Mae Sandidge Till. He is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Greene of Murfreesboro, Betty Jane Theriot of Morgan City, La., and Frances Haymon of Lafayette, La.; two nephews, Morris Honea of Madison, Miss., and Eugene Till of Memphis; and several great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Till was a member of the Barton Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired Master Sergeant, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from the police department in Aurora, Colo. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Hubert Guss
Services for Mr. Hubert Emerson Guss, 74, of Murfreesboro, who died Friday, Aug. 14, at Hospice Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Bolin Funeral Home in Zanesville, Ohio, followed by burial in Zanesville Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ronnie Jo Smith officiating.
Mr. Guss is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth A. Myers of Galena, Ohio; two sisters, Frances Painter and Fern Pierce, both of Zanesville; two brothers, Marlyn Guss of Indiana and Richard Guss of Arizona; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Guss was a native of Zanesville. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his duties in World War II, and was a member of the Third Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Bolin Funeral Home in Zanesville.

George S. Spence
Services for Mr. George S. Spence, 72, of Alton, Ill., who died Thursday, Aug. 13, at Alton Memorial Hospital, are scheduled for Monday at 11 a.m. at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton, followed by burial in the Upper Alton Cemetery.
Mr. Spence was a native of Fosterville and the son of the late Ernest Spence and Ruby Horton Spence.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Byrn Spence of Alton; three daughters, Lisa Coker of Alton, Sharon Salomon of Ladue, Mo., and Dixie Taylor of Ridgewood, N.J.; two brothers, David, of Brentwood, and Mack Spence of Christiana; three sisters, Alline Smith of Bell Buckle, Mary Ship of Donelson and Anne Fuller of Hermitage; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton.

Linda Murphy
Services for Mrs. Linda "Josie" Brown Murphy, 55, La Vergne, who died from heart failure Sunday, Aug. 16, are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. Julius Hovan will officiate.
A native of Pennsylvania, her parents were the late Willard B. Brown and Wilma Jean Shumway Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Murphy; two daughters, Victoria J. Bumbalough of Gallatin, Deana L. Wallace of Smyrna; two sons, Timothy G. Alexander of Smyrna, Andrew Lynn Alexander of Ashland City; two brothers, Gary Brown of Dundee, N.Y., Ed Brown of Elmira, N.Y.; sister, Rosalie Kendall of New York; and eight grandchildren.
An employee of Whirlpool Co., and a former singer in Printers Alley in Nashville, she was a recording artist for RCA and had sung with Ace Cannon and Little Jimmy Dickens. She had made appearances with Waylon Jennings and performed on the Good Ole Nashville Music Show with Ralph Emery. She had also performed on the Grand Ole Opry and was a member of Salisbury Federation of Musicians.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel.

Teresa McCormick
Services for Mrs. Teresa D. Corbitt McCormick, 38, of Bailey Court, Woodbury, who died Saturday, Aug. 15, at Stones River Hospital, Woodbury, from results of an auto accident, are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Woodrow Medlock will officiate.
Her father was the late Joe W. Corbitt.
She is survived by her mother, Lillie Kate Windrow Corbitt; two daughters, Michelle Vanatta of Woodbury, Amanda Ring of Murfreesboro; four brothers, Donald Ray Miller, Willie Weesner, both of Murfreesboro, Mark Swan of Smyrna, Johnny Miller of Memphis; and two grandchildren.
A member of Bellwood Baptist Church and a native of Rutherford County, she had lived in Woodbury the past year. She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Chapel.

Laura Margaret White
Services for Mrs. Laura Margaret White, 91, Shelbyville, who died Saturday, Aug. 15, at Life Care Center, Tullahoma, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gowen-Smith Chapel, Shelbyville, with burial in Willow Mount Cemetery. Richard Roney will officiate.
Her husband was Roy White, who died in 1984.
She is survived by three daughters, Marion Roney of Murfreesboro, Juanita Perry of Lansing, Mich., Bobbie Melton of Tullahoma; two stepsons, William Ray White of Murfreesboro, Herman White of Norfolk, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Whitaker Church of God.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ashton Taylor
Graveside services for Ashton Taylor, infant daughter of Alton and Thelisa Taylor of Murfreesboro, who died at birth Sunday, Aug. 16, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Cemetery with Chris Whittaker officiating.
She is also survived by a sister, Aislyn Taylor.
Hellum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carl E. Cronk
Services for Carl E. Cronk, 65, of Tune Drive, La Vergne, formerly of Campbell, N.Y., who died Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Columbia Southern Hills Medical Center, Nashville, after an extended illness, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at H. P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St., Woodhull, N.Y., with burial in Woodhull Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Scott will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lewis Cronk; a son, Gordon A. Cronk of La Vergne; four daughters, Gail VanEtten, Becky Abernathy of Smyrna, Sandra Lombardo of Cornersville, Charlene Carapella of Campbell; a brother, David Cronk; a sister, Erma Hibbard of Addison, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Woodhull High School and a U.S. Army veteran, he attended the SUNY Ag & Technical School at Alfred, N.Y. He was a member of the La Vergne United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post in Campbell. He was retired from the maintenance department of Mike Rose Foods of Nashville.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Floyd C. Lowe
Graveside services for Floyd C. Lowe, 67, Murfreesboro and formerly of Beech Grove, who died Sunday, Aug. 16, at Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation Nursing Center, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery with Jimmy Carver officiating.
His parents were the late Frank Lowe and Kate Hackney Lowe, and his wife was Jackie McIntyre Lowe, who died in 1996.
He is survived by a son, Don Lowe of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Elaine Lowe of Beech Grove; two brothers, Walter Lowe of Goodlettsville, Robert Earl of Murfreesboro; and two grandchildren.
He was a retired apartment manager.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mamie Ruth Goodman
Services for Mamie Ruth Tucker Goodman, 86, Nolensville, who died Monday, Aug. 17, at home after an extended illness, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waller Chapel, 7281 Main St., Nolensville, with the Rev. Bud Harrub and the Rev. Stephen Womack officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery, Smyrna.
Her parents were the late J.A. Tucker and Mary Sue Wray Tucker, and her husband was the late James W. Goodman.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Anne Roberts of Nolensville; a son, James Larry Goodman of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, James Daryl Goodman of Arrington, Scott Goodman of Nolensville, Cobie Lynn Roberts of Nolensville, and Nicole Goodman of Murfreesboro.
Memorials may be made to the Triune United Methodist Church, 7906 Nolensville Road, Arrington, Tenn. 37014.
