Graveside services for Karen Anna Trowbridge Hendricks, 50, Lynn Street, who died at home Monday, Aug. 24, are set for 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert D. Trowbridge of Hesperia, Calif., and David G. Trowbridge of Lodi, Calif.
She was an insurance clerk for Dr. Polk in Murfreesboro.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Donnie M. Duke
Services for Donnie M. Duke, 54, Gracy Avenue, Smyrna, who died Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the York VA Medical Center, are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Kenneth Hubbard will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Jones Duke; his parents, Jimmy and Elva Louise Lassiter Duke of Lebanon; three brothers, Jerry Duke of Virginia Beach, Va., Tony Duke of Lebanon, Steve Duke of Dickson; and a sister, Eunice Mays of Murfreesboro.
A member of First Baptist Church of Smyrna and a former truck driver for Tennessee Texas Trucking Co., he was a U.S. Army veteran.
Family and friends will be pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 tonight at Woodfin Chapel.

Richard Ward
Graveside services for Richard James Ward, 62, Smyrna, who died Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Southern Hills Hospital, Nashville, are set for 11 a.m. Friday in Mapleview Cemetery with Barry Davis officiating.
A native of Morrison, Ill., his parents were the late George Ward and Jane Rose Ward.
He is survived by two daughters, Leigh Ann Brown of Smyrna, and Martha Ward of Wisconsin; two brothers, Donnie Ward and Jerry Ward, both of Illinois; a sister, Jane Ann Birley of Colorado; and two granddaughters.
Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, is in charge of arrangements.

James Morris
Services for James "Shorty" Morris, La Vergne, who died Tuesday, Aug. 25, are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Goodlettsville.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Miller Morris; three daughters, Paula Jaynette Morris, Sara Morris Tidwell, Dorothy Stone; four sisters, Ruth Anderson, Earline Shores, Dorothy Perry Greer, and Teeney White.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Southern Hills staff, and Mid-South Coca-Cola Collectors Club.

Christopher L. Crye
Christopher Lynn Crye, 32, manager of Crye-Leike Realtors office in Brentwood died as a result of a horseback riding accident in Brentwood on Tuesday evening.
Arrangements for funeral services in Memphis are incomplete at this time. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Sept. 2 at the Judson Baptist Church located at 4900 Franklin Road in Nashville.
Crye was a graduate of Germantown High School and had earned a degree in communications from Arkansas State University. He was president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity while attending ASU.
Crye was an active member of Buddies of Nashville, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors and Crye-Leike Realtors Multi-Million Dollar Club.
He is survived by his father, Harold Crye of Memphis and Nashville; mother, Mrs. Jane Proctor of Vienna, Va.; one brother, John Boyer Crye and sister-in-law, Vivian Crye, of Los Angeles, Cal.; a nephew, Maddox Anderson Crye of Los Angeles, Cal.; an uncle Thomas Clayton Crye of West Plains, Mo.; his two aunts and his grandmothers, Mrs. Clara Dean Crye of West Plains, Mo. and Mrs. E.A. (Ann) Boyer of Vienna, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Buddies of Nashville in Chris Crye's name, or to the donor's favorite charity.
Betty B. Maney
Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Bradford Maney, 55, of Monteagle and Oxford, England, who died Aug. 13, in London, England, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom Ward Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Maney was a native of Murfreesboro, and the daughter of the late Newton Cannon and Edith Oliver Maney.
She is survived by her husband, Duncan Macleod; a step-son, Damian Macleod of Columbia, S.C.; a step-daughter, Joanna Macleod of Oxford, England; and a sister, Edie Maney of Nashville.
Mrs. Maney was a member of the Episcopal Church and was a well-known area artist. Memorials may be made to the Maney-Roberts Fund in care of Monteagle Sunday School Assembly, or to the Oaklands Association.
Visitation will begin Tuesday after 12 p.m. and be held until time of service at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A reception for family and friends will be held at Oaklands Mansion following the graveside services. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Mr. James Edmond Mayfield, 57, of 104 Gilbert Drive, Smyrna, who died Friday, Aug. 28, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Johnny Hooks will officiate.
A native of Rutherford County and retired employee of Samsonite Manufacturing Corp., he is survived by his wife, Norma Lee Baker Mayfield of Smyrna; one stepson, Christopher Meade of Murfreesboro; one stepdaughter, Paula Mead Bramham of McRoberts, Ky.; and one grandchild.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for 12:30 today at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Rucker W. Raikes
Services for Mr. Rucker W. Raikes, 87, of Smyrna, who died Saturday, Aug. 29, at National HealthCare Center, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Smyrna, followed by burial in Mapleview Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Hubbard and the Rev. W.D. Thomason will officiate.
A native of Rutherford County, Mr. Raikes was the son of the late Gus and Meda Cooper Raikes of Milton. He was married to the late Mary Kate Greer Raikes, who died in 1967, and to the late Lucy Owens Raikes, who died in 1994.
He is survived by a daughter, Billie Jean Raikes Ries of Smyrna; a son, Robert "Bud" Raikes of Smyrna; a sister, Gustie Rakes of Smyrna; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Raikes was retired from Sewart Air Force Base, where he worked from 1942 to 1970, retiring as chief inspector of base supply.
He was a member and former deacon of the First Baptist Church of Smyrna. He was a former member of the Rutherford County Commission, and former coordinator for the Needy Family Foundation in the Smyrna/La Vergne area. He was a charter member of the Smyrna Booster Club and Lions Club.
Visitation with the family will be from 12-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Bob Helms
Graveside services for Bob Helms, 69, Murfreesboro, who died Sunday, Aug. 30, at York VA Medical Center, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Coleman Cemetery with Chris Van Cleave officiating.
A native of Auburndale, Fla., his parents were the late Henry Helms and Effie Castleberry Helms.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Helms; two daughters, Kim Gipson of Smyrna, Beth Swain of Murfreesboro; a son, Russell Helms of Smyrna; two sisters, Ruby Hargrove of Auburndale, Sybil Kearney of Lockport, Ill.; a brother, Leroy Helms of Auburndale; and four grandchildren.
He was a veteran with the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Homer L. Lester
Services for Homer L. Lester, 83, New Holland, Penn., formerly of Murfreesboro, who died Sunday, Aug. 30, at Lancaster General Hospital, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Groff-High Eckenroth Funeral Home, New Holland, with burial in United Methodist Cemetery. Charles Gregory will officiate.
He was the son of the late George Lester and Fannie Elmore Lester and was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Weller.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth V. Main Lester; two sons, George Lester of New Holland, James McClure Lester of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Carolyn Perry Wall of Smyrna, Peggy Pope of Antioch; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A member of First Baptist Church of New Holland, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II with duty in the South Pacific, he was a supervisor at Frank Ix & Sons Silk Mill in New Holland for 29 years, retiring in 1979.
