John McBroom
Services for Mr. John Calvin McBroom, 73, 1218 Toddington Drive, Murfreesboro, who died of cancer at home Saturday, Sept. 5 are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Jennings & Ayers Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. David Garth will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Williams McBroom of Murfreesboro; one son, Bob McBroom of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Sharan Martin of Nashville, and Pamela Brown of Washington D.C.; and seven grandchildren.
He was a retired major in the U.S. Army and a life-long resident of Murfreesboro.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Ferrell Miller
Services for Mrs. Ferrell Baggett Miller, 71, of Florence Road, Murfreesboro, who died Saturday, Sept. 5 at Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. The Rev. Marion Arbuckle will officiate.
Her parents were the late Jesse and Wilma Fulgum Baggett. She was married to the late Ralph Miller and was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Collins.
She is survived by one son, Richard Griffin of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Charlotte Arnett of Martinez, Ga.; two sisters, Estelle Carlson of Illinois, and Helen Henderson of Thomasville, Ga.; three brothers, Herschel Baggett of Hohenwald, Tenn., Bill Baggett and Jarrell Baggett, both of Thomasville, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A native of Georgia, she was a member of the Baptist church.
Visitation with the family is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.

Sue R. Busey
Services for Mrs. Sue R. Busey, 82, who died Friday, Sept. 4 of cancer at Middle Tennessee Medical Center are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Calvert-Rosenberger will officiate.
Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Reed. She was married to the late Harold Busey who died in 1981.
She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie McCalla of Statesville, N.C., and Suzanne Close of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Richard Busey of Murfreesboro; one grandson; four step-grandchildren ; and five great-grandchildren.
A native of Rutherford County, she was a retired MTSU secretary in the education department and a member of Central Christian Church.
Memorials in her memory may be made to the Linebaugh Library, Central Christian Church Library, or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation with the family will be held from 2-6 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Margaret Bradley
Services for Margaret McLure Bradley, 89, who died Saturday, Sept. 5, are set for 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Lebanon with interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The Revs. Gary Rickman and Richard Adkinson will officiate.
Her husband was the late Jerry Duke Bradley.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Roden of Nashville; one son, Richard Bradley of Murfreesboro; one sister, Katie Rose McClendon of Hattiesburg, Miss.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

James Rowlett
Services for the Rev. James Franklin Rowlett, 80, of Murfreesboro, who died Sunday, Sept. 6, at his home of heart failure, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Revs. John Mark Williams and Jerry Mayo will officiate.
He was a native of Rutherford County, and was the son of the late James Henry and Annie Cavender Rowlett.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rowlett.
He was a member of the Tennessee Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, and was an active Methodist minister for more than 42 years. He received his B.S. degree from MTSU and his B.D. and master's degrees from Vanderbilt University.
Memorials in honor of the Rev. Rowlett may be made to McKendree Village, Hospice of Murfreesboro or the First United Methodist Church.
Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Nelmon Otis Savage
Services for Mr. Nelmon Otis Savage, 81, of Palmer, who died Saturday, Sept. 5, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, are scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Layne Funeral Home in Palmer followed by burial in Fall Creek Cemetery. The Revs. Ray Gomer-Lynn Cassady and James Roberts will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Savage; two daughters, Patricia A. Creighton of Murfreesboro and N. Carol Gomer of Palmer; a brother, James C. Savage of Osceola, Ark.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Savage was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Palmer for more than 50 years, where he served as a board member. He also served as president of the Grundy County Farm Bureau, a member of the Farmers Co-Op Board of Directors, the Grundy County Soil Conservation Committee and former director of the ASCS. He served four years in the Civilian Conservation Corps, and was a veteran of World War II.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. CDT at Layne Funeral Home in Palmer.

Nancy Curtis
Services for Mrs. Nancy Mae Anderton Curtis, 51, of Bell Buckle, who died Saturday at Williamson Medical Center of an extended illness, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Shelbyville, followed by burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, with the Revs. Randall Harmon and Tony Billions officiating.
Mrs. Curtis was the daughter of J.W. Anderton of Shelbyville and the late Emma Louise Hale Anderton.
She is survived by her father; her husband, W.A. Curtis of Bell Buckle; a son, Johnny Ray "Bucky" Whitsett; a step-daughter, Sheri Rhodes; two brothers, John and Jimmy Anderton; a sister, Sheila Holt; and a grandchild, all of Shelbyville.
Mrs. Curtis was a homemaker, a member of the Tree of Life Fellowship Church and past president of the Women's Aglow of Manchester and Shelbyville.

Her parents were the late Nevil Sanford and Sammie Lee Sanford, and her husband was Frank V. Edmonds, who died in July, 1998.
She is survived by son, Vernon Edmonds of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Peggy Whitworth, Dorothy Gilliland, both of Murfreesboro; a brother, Hoyte Sanford of Murfreesboro; a sister, Geneva Earthman of Murfreesboro; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Roy Morton and Lilly Tillett Overcast Sr. of Shelbyville; a son, Chad Overcast of Shelbyville; a daughter, Tera Lee Davis of Shelbyville; a brother, Roy Morton Overcast Jr. of Brentwood;; two sisters, Harriet Melson of Shelbyville, Carolyn Overcast Smith of Plano, Texas.
A native of Shelbyville, he was a member of the First Christian Church, a mechanic, a carpenter, and a musician.
