Leila Radford Buckley
Services for Leila Radford Buckley, 51, Sparta, formerly of Murfreesboro, who died Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Board Valley Cemetery, White County. The Rev. Kevin Goza will officiate.
A native of Columbia, Ky., her father was the late Floyd Radford.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth Radford of Sparta; two sons, Bryan Buckley of Jackson, Miss., Brandon Buckley of Estacada, Ore.; a brother, Hershel Radford of Crossville; two sisters, Joyce Brown of McMinnville, Roberta McCowan of Sparta; and a grandson.
A member of the Baptist church, she was a former employee of Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and was a graduate of White County High School. She was a licensed practical nurse.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Lawrence W. Harmon
Services for Lawrence W. "Larry" Harmon, 60, Murfreesboro, who died Thursday, Sept. 17, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. The Rev. Milton Hicks will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Harmon; three daughters, Kathy Sawyer, Angela Harmon, both of Nashville, Kimberly Harmon of Donelson; his mother, Mabel Harmon of Lancaster, Ohio; two stepsons, David Bond Passman, Donald Wayne Passman, both of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Wilma Wilson of Howard, Ohio, Thelma Thurston, Juanita Gabriel of Florida; and three grandchildren.
A native of Bremen, Ohio, he was a truck driver.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel.

Margie Mai Harrell
Services for Mrs. Margie Mai Benson Harrell, 71, Murfreesboro, who died Thursday, Sept. 17, at Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Ed Chance, the Rev. Woodrow Medlock and the Rev. Nathan Hale will officiate.
Her parents were the late Jim Benson and Mary Katherine Sherin Benson, and her husband was Fred E. Harrell Sr., who died in 1963.
She is survived by a son, Fred E. Harrell Jr. of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Mary Nell Paschal of Readyville, Linda Gail Cooper of Murfreesboro, Patsy Anita Madison of Lascassas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A member of Haynes Chapel United Methodist Church, she was retired from food services at the York VA Medical Center.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Terry Dale Vance
Services for Terry Dale Vance, 34, La Vergne, who died Thursday, Sept. 17, at home after an extended illness, are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ed Anderson will officiate.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jean and David L. Bohanon of La Vergne; father and stepmother, J.D. and Virginia Vance of Woodbury; two sisters, Becky Wray of La Vergne, Kim Davis of Antioch; three half sisters, Tina Cantrell of McMinnville, Gina Simpson, and Bridgette Haley, both of Woodbury.
A member of Jefferson Pike Church of Christ, he was a mill worker for Tilford Lumber Co.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Estelle Smith
Memorial services for Estelle Smith, 78, Cleveland, who died Thursday, Sept. 17, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Grissom Funeral Home chapel, Cleveland, with burial in Ft. Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Craig Morgan and the Rev. Alex Waraksa will officiate.
Her parents were the late John Edgar and Sarah Waggoner Smith.
Survivors include a brother, John Paul Smith of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Barbara Smith Rungee of Murfreesboro, and Gladys Smith Cummings of Cleveland.
A communicant of St. Therese Catholic Church and a graduate of Baroness Erlanger Hospital School of Nursing, she had served 23 years in the U.S. Army Nursing Corps during World War II with duty in Europe and Korea. Her awards and decorations include the American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army Occupation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 900 Clingan Ridge Drive N.W., Cleveland, Tenn., 37311.

James R. Harris
Services for James H. Harris, 69, Altamonte Springs, Fla., formerly of Murfreesboro, who died Wednesday, Sept. 16, are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Altamonte Springs. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.
He moved to Florida from Murfreesboro in 1959.
Survivors include his wife, Nell J. Harris of Altamonte Springs; three daughters, Betty Omerod of Fairfax, Va., Nanettte Harris, Kimberly Summers, both of Altamonte Springs; a son, David Harris of Ostean, Fla.; a sister, Nancy Pigg of Madison, Fla.; his mother, Buelah Martin of Orlando, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
A U.S. Air Force retired captain, he was a manager of John's Hardware in College Park, Fla., and a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #18 here.

Hazel L. Horst
Services for Mrs. Hazel L. Horst, 93, of Murfreesboro, who died Friday, Sept. 18, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Sidney, Neb., with burial in Plainview Cemetery in Lodgepole, Neb.
Mrs. Horst was the daughter of the late Lorris and Effie Grace Nelson Pearson. She was preceded in death by husbands Albert Julius Johnson and Otto Frederick Horst, and a son, Leroy Johnson.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Bowman of Murfreesboro and Adella Oberndorfer of Potter, Neb.; one son, Virgil Horst of Gurley, Neb.; two sisters, Glenis Moore and Margaret Rapp, both of Sidney, Neb.; one brother, Merle Pearson of Salinas, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Horst was a graduate of Grand Island Business College. She was a member of First Christian Church of Sidney for more than 70 years, including 30 years as financial secretary. She was an active member of the Christian Women's Fellowship and the Friendly Neighbors Club.
Visitation with the family is set for Tuesday at Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Amanda Melton
Services for Mrs. Amanda Florence Patton Melton, 100, of Murfreesboro, who died Friday, Sept. 18, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Horton Springs Cemetery in Smithville. Steve Fisher will officiate.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Lucy Trapp Patton. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Taylor Melton Jr.
Mrs. Melton is survived by two daughters, Marjorie McKnight of Baton Rouge, La., and Willa Mae Miller of Murfreesboro; two sons, James E. Melton of New Orleans, and Joseph L. Melton of Tuscon, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A native of DeKalb County, she was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family is set for 4-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Floyd G. Bowles
Services for Mr. Floyd G. Bowles, 74, of Murfreesboro, who died Saturday, Sept. 19, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Brentwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Columbia. The Rev. Don Tabor and the Rev. Perry Muse will officiate.
Mr. Bowles is survived by his wife, Ruth Bowles; two sons, Robert J. Bowles of Franklin, and James M. Bowles of Murfreesboro; and two granddaughters.
Mr. Bowles was a native of Beliot, Wisc. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a registered and retired architect, and was a former trustee and elder at Brentwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund in Murfreesboro. Visitation will be held today from 2-5 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, 5852 Nolensville Road, in Nashville.
