Services for Jake Decatur Fite, 72, Hohenwald, who died Friday, May 29, at NHC Healthcare of Murfreesboro, were held 11 a.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home, Hohenwald, with burial in Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald.
His parents were the late Jake Fite and Ada Annice Hensley.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche Fite of Hohenwald; daughter, Debbie Warren of Murfreesboro; son, Kerry Fite of Chattanooga; brother, Jerry Fite of Hohenwald; and two grandchildren.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was employed by Genesco Co.
Visitation was held Sunday at the funeral home.

Haskel E. Colegrove
Services for Haskel E. Colegrove, 68, Murfreesboro, who died at home Saturday, May 30, are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Little Yellow Church, Jennies Creek, W.Va., with burial in Old Frank Cemetery, Marrowbone, W.Va. Haskel B. Fields will officiate.
His parents were the late Thomas and Anna Sammons Colegrove.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Darnell Colegrove of Murfreesboro; two sons, Haskel W. Colegrove of Roanoke, Va., Ronald Colegrove of Lovely, Ky.; two stepsons, William B. Burton and Leonard C. Burton, both of Murfreesboro; daughter, Marcella Colegrove Davidson of Roanoke; sister, Mary Colegrove Marcum of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Freddie Colegrove of Chapmanville, W.Va., Rumes Colegrove of Webbville, Ky.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Visitation was held Sunday at the church and the body will lie in state until service time today.
Richmond-Callahan Funeral Home of Inez, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Homer "Snooks" Harrell, 76, of Jakes Avenue, who died Monday, June 1, at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness, are set for 3 p.m. Wednesday at Jennings & Ayers chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jeffrey White will officiate.
His parents were the late Jessie Albert Harrell and Lyda Preston Harrell, and he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Harrell.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Howland Harrell of Murfreesboro; daughter, Sheree Pratt of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Jessie James Harrell of Murfreesboro, Edmund Harrell of Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters, Susie Wallace, Mamie Brandon, Jean Patton, all of Murfreesboro; and three grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church, he was a retired auto mechanic.

A native of Gassaway, his parents were the late George Tilford Campbell and Maggie Bell Campbell.
He is survived by four daughters, Ann Jacobs, Darlene Walls, both of Murfreesboro, Carolyn Hewitt of Joelton, Henrietta McPhail of Nashville; sister, Marie Kirby of Henderson, Ky.; 10 grandchildren. and 10 great-grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church and a veteran, he had lived here the past 40 years. He was retired from the VA Escort Service Department.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Her parents were the late Sam and Harriett Barrett Kemper, and her husband was the late W.H. Higgins.
She is survived by two stepsons, Henry Higgins of Colorado, Joe Higgins of Gallatin; three stepdaughters, Ola Lee Murphy of Madison, Bessie Leeman of Woodbury, Ina Dutton of Cainsville; three brothers, Ernest T. Kemper of Maryville, John Kemper, and Horace Kemper, both of Halls.
A member of East Main Church of Christ, she was a homemaker.

Services for Fred Douglas Snelling Jr., 72, Shelbyville, who died Saturday, May 30, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, were held 1 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Shelbyville, with burial in Mt. Ararat Annex Cemetery.
His parents were the late Fred D., and Bessie Snelling.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Snelling; a daughter, Frances Crump of Murfreesboro; a sister, Birdie Mai Ewing of Shelbyville; a brother, Thomas Snelling of Shelbyville; and a granddaughter.
A member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he had served on the trustee board, he was educated in the Bedford County school system and had been employed at Stan McNabb Chevrolet for 12 years.
Visitation was held before the service time today.

Her father was the late Paul H. Manning of Dayton.
Survivors include her mother, Wilma Manning; husband, Charles Maurice Euverard of Rogersville; four children, Ann Combs of Chattanooga, Cynthia Snodgrass of Dhaka, Bangladesh; Marty Euverard of Murfreesboro, Rebekah Lambert of Little Rock, Ark. two sisters, Paulette Webster, Irene Wilkey; a brother, Teddy Manning; and eight grandchildren.
A member of Henards Chapel Baptist Church and a graduate of Rhea Central High School, she was retired from TRW Co. A native of Hamilton County, she had lived in Rogersville for 18 years.

A native of Bristol, his parents were the late W.C., and Neva Estell Livingston Phipps.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Phipps; two sons, Harry Phipps Jr. of Smyrna, Charles Phipps of Murfreesboro; daughter, Gloria Lollis of Christiana; two brothers, Gene Phipps, Charles Phipps, both of Bristol; and two grandchildren.
A member of Central Christian Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II with duty in the 115th Naval Construction Battalion, he was a former manager for Big K and Wal-Mart stores here.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

A member of the Baptist church and a native of Rutherford County, he had lived in Ashland City the past 30 years. He was a retired truck driver for Spector Freight Lines.
