Gifford Williams Sr.
Services for Gifford Allen "G.A." Williams, 49, Tullahoma, who died Monday, Nov. 9, at Harton Regional Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Temple Community Church of God in Christ with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Tullahoma. William Bonner Jr. will officiate.
He was the son of Estelle Williams.
He is survived by his mother; two daughters, Tonya Denice Williams, Margaret Estelle Williams Moore; a son, Gifford Allen Williams Jr.; a sister, Tonka Brannon; three brothers, Aaron Williams Sr., Luster Williams, Eltonia "Skippy" Williams; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. and the body will lie in state from noon until 1 p.m.
H. Preston Scales & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Madry Barnes
Memorial services for Thomas Madry Barnes, 53, Eustis, Fla., who died Sunday, Nov. 8, after an extended illness, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jennings & Ayers chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. John Mark Williams will officiate.
He was the son of the late Terry Allen and Maude Richards Barnes.
He is survived by a son, Robert Barnes of Tavares, Fla.; three daughters, Ashley Barnes, Georgeanne Barnes, Terry Margaret Barnes, all of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Richard A. Barnes of Brownsburg, Va., Danny M. Barnes, Atlanta, Ga.; and two sisters, Sherry Douglas of Shalimar, Fla.; and Crystal Brandon of Wartrace.
A native of Panama City, Fla., he moved to Murfreesboro at an early age. He was a graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and attended Martin Methodist College and the University of North Alabama on basketball scholarships.
He served in the U.S. Army and served a tour in Korea. He had lived in Florida for the last 15 years.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time.

Booker T. Gilreath
Services for Booker T. Gilreath, 87, who died Thursday, Nov. 12, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at H. Preston Scales & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The Rev. Willie Puckett Sr. will officiate.
He is survived by a brother, Allen Gilreath, and a niece, Annie Gilreath.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Ethelyn Mae Keenan
Services for Ethelyn Mae Keenan, 71, who died Thursday, Nov. 12, at NHC HealthCare of Murfreesboro, will be Monday at Beinhauer Mortuary, Pittsburgh, Penn., with burial in Union Cemetery, Robinson Township, Penn. The Rev. Goff will officiate.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Kirby of Franklin; a sister, Betty Lubic of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren, Ashley Kirby and Kristin Kirby, both of Franklin.
She was a homemaker and a member of Brookline Blvd. United Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be sent to Children's Home of Pittsburgh.

Kenneth S. Johnson
Services for Kenneth Stanton Johnson, 67, Huntsville, Ala., who died Tuesday, Nov. 10, were held Wednesday in Huntsville.
A Christiana native, he was the son of the late W.T. "Bill" Johnson and Eddine Thomas Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Riggin Johnson of Pulaski; two sons, Craig Johnson of Pulaski, Gary Johnson of Woodbridge, Va.; a daughter, Amy Johnson; a brother, Billy Johnson of Ashland, Ore.; and two sisters, Mary Rountree of Nashville and Nelda Thurston of Murfreesboro.
He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1970 after 23 years then worked for Prudential Insurance for 25 years until his retirement in 1995.

Private graveside services for Makenzie Hope Dement, 14 days, who died Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery. Jim Powers will officiate.
She was the daughter of Daniel Byron Dement and Tammy Lee Coker Dement of Lascassas.
She is survived by her parents; a sister, Kelsey Lea Dement; and her grandparents, Kelly and Glenner Dement of Lascassas and Jim and Betty Hunter of Murfreesboro.
Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Jim Stevenson
Services for Jim Stevenson, 37, Smyrna, who died Wednesday, Nov. 11, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. The Rev. Jerry Smith will officiate. An additional service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bachman-Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus, Penn.
A native of Patterson, N.J., he was the son of Ann Marie Stevenson of Emmaus and the late James Robert Stevenson Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Miller Stevenson; two daughters, April Bailey of Pennsylvania, Ann Marie Stevenson of Smyrna; three sons, Robert Stevenson, William Stevenson, James Stevenson, all of Smyrna; his mother; two brothers, Tim Stevenson of Allentown, Penn., Daniel Stevenson of Redding, Penn.; and a sister, Debora Dimitriadis of Macungie, Penn.
He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was shop foreman for Ram Corporation in Nashville.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, and Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Emmaus.

Carl Arnold
Services for Mr. Carl Arnold, 82, of Murfreesboro, who died Friday at Community Care of Rutherford County are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, followed by burial in Chadwick Cemetery, with the Rev. Franklin Brown officiating.
Mr. Arnold was a native of Rutherford County and was the son of the late Horace P. and Hattie Donnell Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Bell Brothers Arnold; a daughter, Linda Burroughs of Goldsboro, N.C.; a brother, S.P. Arnold of Donnell's Chapel; three sisters, Eliza Sissom of Shelbyville, and Navetta James and Claytie Lowe, both of Murfreesboro; and one grandson.
Mr. Arnold was a member of the Old Beech Grove Baptist Church at Hoover's Gap. He was a retired farmer. Visitation with the family will be held after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Services for Mary Simmons, 70, of Murfreesboro, who died Wednesday, Nov. 11, at her residence, are set for Monday at noon at Cedar Grove Primitive Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lovvorn Cemetery. Ronnie Russell will officiate.
A Murfreesboro native, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Malone and Bernice Davis; two sons, Richard and Joseph Simmons; and two sisters, Ruth Mosby and Josephine McGill, all of Murfreesboro.
The remains are at H. Preston Scales & Sons Funeral Home.
