Services for John D. Smith, 66, of Pleasant View Road in Cannon County, who died Tuesday, June 2, at McMinnville Health Care Center after an extended illness, are set for 1 p.m. Friday in Smith Funeral Home chapel with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Odell Powell and Brownie Smith will officiate.
His parents were the late Dewitt Smith and Gertie DeBerry Smith.
He is survived by a son, Dale Smith of McMinnville; a daughter, Geraldine Fults of McMinnville; a brother, Lonnie Smith of Pleasant View; a granddaughter, four stepgrandchildren. and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He attended the Church of Christ and was a retired auto parts salesman.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, Woodbury.

Willette Mathis Barrett
Services for Mrs. Willette "Nan" Mathis Barrett, 79, of Marshall Creek Road, Auburntown, who died Wednesday, June 3, at home after an extended illness, were held 2 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home chapel with burial in Odom Cemetery. Van Mathis and Cannie Leonard officiated.
Her parents were the late Rev. F.B. Mathis and Maggie Dodd Mathis, and her husband was the late Charlie Barrett.
She is survived by a son, Charles Barrett Jr. of Auburntown; five daughters, Charlotte Wimly, Joyce Fuller, both of Estill Springs, Ruth Jean Melton, Marie Groom, both of Nashville, Brenda Sue Watson of Readyville; a brother, Guy Mathis of Liberty; a sister, Lora Dell Vanderpool of Liberty; 12 grandchildren. 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held Wednesday at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Mary McCrary Ralston
Services for Mary McCrary Ralston, 82, East College Street, who died Wednesday, June 3, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. E.C. Tolbert, Paul Gary Cooper, and Leamon Flatt will officiate.
Her parents were the late Albert N., and Mattie Jane Jernigan McCrary, and her husband was Richard N. "Bubba" Ralston, who died in 1972.
She is survived by a sister, Peggy Louise Mehlhorn of Knoxville; and a brother, Earl McCrary of Lascassas.
A member of the Church of Christ and a nursing school graduate, she had served as a captain in the U.S. Army Nursing Corps during World War II. Before she retired, she was employed in the offices of Dr. Carl Adams and Dr. E.C. Tolbert.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

A native of Calico Rock, Ark., his parents were the late James Franklin Wyatt and Nora Belle Stroud Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Wyatt; son, John Wyatt of Murfreesboro; daughter, Marilyn White of Murfreesboro; sister, Amba Smart of Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
A member of Trinity Methodist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, he retired as a chief master sergeant in hospital administration. After retiring, he had worked for the VA Regional Office.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

A native of Cannon County, his parents were the late William Davenport and Burl Bogle Davenport, and his wife was Mary Frances Bogle Davenport, who died Feb. 14, 1994.
He is survived by four daughters, Virginia Pitts, Rosie Moore, both of Smyrna, Faye Gordon, Linda Young, both of Murfreesboro; four sons, Wayne Davenport of Smyrna, Ralph Davenport, Clifford Davenport, Donald Davenport, all of Murfreesboro; four sisters, Virgie Fann, Mildred Cook, Evelyn Bogle, all of Murfreesboro, Beatrice Kelton of Nashville; 19 grandchildren. 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A retired employee of the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute, formerly Central State Hospital, he was also a member of Church of Christ and had attended the Bridge Avenue Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

His parents were the late Preston Lambert and Effie May Spurlock Lambert, and his wife was the late Jennie Lambert.
He is survived by a son, Donnie Lambert of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Linda Kincaid, Jessie Leone, Cora Estes, all of Murfreesboro; three brothers, Preston Lambert of Momence, Ill., Bobby Lambert, Charles Lambert, both of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Pauline Prater of Murfreesboro, Lorine Butner of Georgia; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church, he was a retired roofer.

A member of the Church of Christ, he retired in 1984 from the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Center, Nashville.
