May Love Gale
Services for May Love Stegall Gale, Rockvale and Nashville, who died Sunday, Nov. 22, in Atlanta, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Garie Taylor will officiate.
The Rockvale native was the daughter of the late B.D. and Nannie Mai Love Stegall and the widow of George E. Gale, who died in 1966.
She is survived by a brother, Whitney Stegall of Murfreesboro; a sister, Adelyn Stegall Stevenson of Atlanta; six nieces; two nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, a graduate of MTSU, and a home economist with the Tennessee Valley Authority and Florida Light & Power. She subsequently became a professional lighting consultant.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Linebaugh Library, Murfreesboro, or Cheekwood, 1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville.

Mary Helen Gunster
Services for Mary Helen Gunster, 87, who died Saturday, Nov. 21, at Northside Health Care Center, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with burial in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. The Rev. Wiatt Funk will officiate.
A native of Arizona, she was the daughter of the late Walter Eugene and Mary Helen Jamison Gunster Sr.
She is survived by a brother, Col. Walter Eugene Gunster Jr. of Christiana; a nephew, Walter E. Gunster III of Christiana; a niece, Katharine Powers Laing of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; and three great-nieces.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was a retired civil service employee, having worked for the draft board in Sarasota, Fla.
Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Neil Howard; a daughter, Linda Parrish of Smyrna; a son, Robert B. Howard; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Neil Howard.

Mary Wiley Morgan
Services for Mary Wiley Morgan, 93, who died Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Northside Health Care Center, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wooodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Leamon Flatt will officiate.
She is survived by four daughters, Lucille Speck, Bonnie Rooker, Edith Wilson and Judy King, all of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of Samuel Morgan, who died in 1974, and was preceded in death by a son, Sammie Morgan, who died in 1987.
A Warren County native, she was a nurse at Middle Tennessee Medical Center for 26 years before her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of the East Main Street Church of Christ.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Bessie Gilley Cooper

A native of the Dilton community, she was the daughter of the late E.D. and Bessie Sloan Gilley and the widow of Alfred Cooper.
She is survived by two sons, John Cooper of Hermitage and Carl Cooper of Vallejo, Calif.; a daughter, Nancy Edwards of Fosterville; two sisters, Evelyn Youree of Murfreesboro and Mary Perry of Woodbury; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also a member of the Christiana Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Wiles Christian of Charleston, S.C., and Edward Eugene Christian of Palmyra, Va.; two daughters, Thelma lee Christian Adcock of Antioch and Gladys Tucker of Calvert City, Ky.; a sister, Johnnie Alsup Warren of Murfreesboro; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was a native of the Halls Hill community and a homemaker.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Jennings & Ayers.

He was a retired Rutherford and Cannon county teacher and Korean War veteran.

McDowell of La Vergne; three sons, Roy McDowell of Morrison, Joe McDowell of Gainesboro, and Reggie McDowell of Smyrna; four brothers, Raymond Gore of North Canton, Ohio, Junior Gore of Dayton, Ohio, Bradley Gore and David Gore, both of Gainesboro; two sisters, Lois Mercer of Whitleyville and Mary Lou Donohue of Thornville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until services on Friday.
