Chuck Simpson
Services for Mr. Chuck Simpson, 66, of Murfreesboro, who died Friday morning at Middle Tennessee Medical Center are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Edwards officiating.
Mr. Simpson was a native of Detroit, Mich., and was the son of George Simpson and the late Margaret Tree Simpson. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Michael Simpson.
He is survived by his father and by his wife, Shirley Simpson; three sons, Charles L. Simpson Jr. of Franklin, and James David Simpson and Alan Joseph Simpson, both of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Karen Jean Simpson Creel of Nashville; two brothers, Robert Simpson of Richmond, Va., and James Simpson of Nashville; a sister, Gloria Keeton of Richmond, Va.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Simpson was a retired employee of the Ford Motor Company Glass Division in Nashville and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in Korea.
Memorials in honor of Mr. Simpson may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Hamilton 'Hamp' Johns
Services for Mr. Hamilton "Hamp" Johns, 65, of Bell Buckle, who died Friday at his residence of an extended illness are scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. at Cherry Grove M.B. Church, with burial to take place Monday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating.
Mr. Johns was the son of the late Levi and Maggie Johns. He is survived by a son, Hamilton "Max" Johns Jr., of Bell Buckle; two daughters, Gathelyn Oliver of Smyrna, and Cheryle Zachery of Murfreesboro; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Johns was a member of Cherry Grove M.B. Church.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. Hellum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services for Mrs. Jane Long Childress, 88, of Murfreesboro, who died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Elliott will officiate.
Mrs. Childress was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mattie Adams Long.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Childress; a niece, Nancy Lane of Murfreesboro; and two nephews, Thomas T. Miles of Memphis and Jerry L. Miles of Monroe, La.
Mrs. Childress was a retired employee of Courier Printing Co., where she worked for 38 years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Visitation with the family will be today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mrs, May was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nettie Hill Adams.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin M. May; a son, Marvin Carl May; and a daughter, Barbara Sells, all of La Vergne; a brother, Paul Adams; and a sister, Louise Ledford, both of Shelbyville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. May was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.

He was the son of the late Lawton and Estell Tucker Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Evelyn Adams Parker; two daughters, Virginia Ruth Richardson of Macon, Ga., and Dorothy Jane Stolicky of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; a son, Buddy Parker of Smyrna; three brothers, Wayne Parker of Murfreesboro, Everett Parker of Smyrna, and George W. Parker of Antioch; two sisters, Doris Potts of the Mona community, and Katherine Travis of Oak Park, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Parker was a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ and a retired carpenter.

She was the daughter of Ray and Mary Haley Teal of Manchester.
She is survived by her parents; her husband, Michael Holt; two daughters, Elizabeth Holt and Emma Holt, both of Murfreesboro; a brother, Stan Teal of Tullahoma; a sister, Anita Royster of Manchester; and grandmother, Elva Rigney of Manchester.
A native of Cannon County, she was a teacher and a member of the Church of Christ.

Graveside services for Hazel Wynonna Thomas O'Nions, 65, of Lascassas, who died Thursday, Dec. 31, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness, were held Sunday at Milton Cemetery. Jim Powers officiated.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Birdie Lee Hall Dement and was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret O'Nions.
She is survived by a brother, Paul Dement of Murfreesboro.
A native of Rutherford County, she was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Services for Hugh William Waters Jr., 53, of Antioch, who died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, with burial in College Grove Cemetery. Telford Tharp will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Ann Waters; a son, Christopher Hugh Waters of Eagleville; a daughter, Candice Waters Conner of Columbia; a brother, Charles Waters of Murfreesboro; sisters, Carolyn Shockey of Rockvale, Betty Jean Perry of Arrington, Kathleen Brown of Murfreesboro, Mary Ann Warren of Eagleville; and seven grandchildren.
A native of Williamson County, he attended the Catholic church. He was a Teamster Union 327 organizer.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home.
