Danny McCormick
Services for Danny McCormick, 54, of Smotherman Drive in La Vergne, who died Friday morning at home are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late W.D. and Thelma Venoy McCormick. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McCormick; two sons, Michael and Steve McCormick, both of La Vergne; four daughters, Sandra Felts of La Vergne, Tammy Whitlock of Smyrna, Teresa Hudson of Smyrna and Jennifer McCormick of La Vergne; four sisters, Debbie Barlow and Connie Spurling, both of Springfield, and Brenda Newman and Sherry Measles, both of Smyrna; and nine grandchildren.
McCormick worked for Fluor Daniel at Nissan for 14 years. Visitation will be after noon Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Flossie Mai Dutton
Services for Flossie Mai Dutton, 85, of Auburntown, who died Friday at Stones River Manor are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home, followed by burial in Riverside Garden Cemetery, with David Dunn officiating.
A native of Cannon County, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Smithson and Hassie Owens Smithson. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Dewey Brown Dutton.
She is survived by a son, Michael Dutton of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Marie Bryan of Murfreesboro, and Debbie Morris of Woodbury; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Dutton was a member of the Auburn Church of Christ, and was a housewife. Visitation will be held from 1-9 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Smith is survived by four daughters, Maudie Bailey and Hazel Bailey, both of Bell Buckle, and Connie Smith and Lottie Taylor, both of Shelbyville; two sons, Eugene Smith and A.W. Smith, both of Shelbyville; three sisters, Mable Chunn of Shelbyville, Willie Bell Smith of Nashville, and Theola McKee of St. Anne, Ill.; a brother, John Henry Smith of Chicago; and 16 grandchildren.

Denise S. Waldon
Services for Mrs. Denise Scott Waldon, 38, of Manchester Highway, Christiana, who died Friday, Jan. 15, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Lemuell Underhill officiating.
Waldon was the daughter of Mary Carlton Dabbs Heath and the late J.D. Scott.
She is survived by her mother; a son, Carl David Soffiantino; two daughters, Mary Stephanie Soffiantino and Christy Denise Soffiantino, both of Murfreesboro; a brother, John Dwayne Scott; and two grandmothers, Rena Brandon Scott and Mary Elizabeth Brandon Dabbs.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a homemaker.
Visitation with the family will be from 2-8 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Bessie Marie Doss
Services for Mrs. Bessie Marie Doss, 69, of Dill Lane, who died Saturday, Jan. 16, at her home are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Ken Walker officiating.
A native of Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Miller and Maggie Howell Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Doss; by two daughters, including Kathy McLearan of Tulsa, Okla., and Karen Fesler of Cookeville; three brothers, including Johnnie Ward of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Dr. Thomas A. Ward of Talequah, Okla., and Larry G. Ward of Murfreesboro; two sisters, including Onie Garner of Longwood, Fla., and Mamie Glover of Murfreesboro; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Doss attended Believer's Chapel and was retired from a job as cafeteria manager at Hobgood School.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. today and from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Smith.

Martin Harding
Services for Martin Harding, 69, of Smyrna, who died Friday, Jan. 15, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center are scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Silver Springs Baptist Church, with burial to take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Flora Blackman officiating.
Mr. Harding was preceded in death by a son, Michael "Duck" Alexander Harding.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Harding; by three sons, including Charles "Tweet" Prince of Pontiac, Mich., Tommy "Peter" Harding and Clifton "Baby Bro" Lipscomb, both of Murfreesboro; by two daughters, including Catherine Elaine Harding and Alfrekia Harris, both of Murfreesboro; a sister, Bobbie Woods; 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Harding was retired from Wellington Construction Co.
The body will lie in state Monday at H. Preston Scales & Sons Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m., and at Silver Springs Baptist Church from 5-6 p.m., followed by visitation at the church from 6 p.m. until time of service.

John Allen Brinkley
Services for John Allen Brinkley, 49, of 615 Bridge Ave., who died Saturday, Jan. 16, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center of heart failure, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. James Lassiter officiating.
He was the son of the late Johnny Brinkley and Beulah Lamb McCoy of Murfreesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Diane C. Brinkley; a son, Johnny Allen Brinkley of Murfreesboro; two stepdaughters, including Treasa Harvey and Tracy Davis, both of Murfressboro; four brothers, including Grady Eugene Brinkley, Donny Ray Brinkley, Billy Brinkley and Ernest Dean Brinkley, and one sister, Patsy Dodd, all of Murfreesboro; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Brinkley was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church, and had been employed by Maron & Green Roofing Co. for the past 30 years.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Vivian Fowler Cather of Murfreesboro died on Saturday at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.
She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret Fowler. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Heath Derby.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Cather; by seven daughters, including Connie Weir, Vicki King and Linda Derby, all of Carrollton, Ohio, Nancy Burton of Salem, Ohio, Wendy Cox of Chandler, Ariz., Dee Anne Vida of Orlando, Fla. and Joe Ellen Reasor of Anchorage, Alaska; three sons, including Kenneth and Edward Jenkins of Augusta, Ohio, and Chip Cather of Silverdale, Wash.; three brothers, including Earl Fowler of McAndrews, Ky., Bill Fowler of Crestwood, Ky. and Jack Fowler of Atlanta, Ga.; 26 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
