Martin Harding
Services for Martin Harding, 69, of Smyrna, who died Friday, Jan. 15, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are 7 p.m. today at Silver Springs Baptist Church, with burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Flora Blackman will officiate.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael "Duck" Alexander Harding.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Harding; by sons Charles "Tweet" Prince of Pontiac, Mich., Tommy "Peter" Harding and Clifton "Baby Bro" Lipscomb, both of Murfreesboro; by daughters Catherine Elaine Harding and Afrika Harris, both of Murfreesboro; brothers, Auther Avant, Robert Harding; a sister, Bobbie Woods; 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Harding was retired from Worthington Construction Co.
The body will lie in state today at H. Preston Scales & Sons Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m., and at Silver Springs Baptist Church from 5-6 p.m., followed by visitation at the church from 6 p.m. until time of service.

Roger Crowder
Services for Roger Crowder, 85, of Hilham, who died Saturday, Jan. 16, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson Funeral Home chapel in Gainesboro, with burial in Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County. O'Neal Huffines will officiate.
He was the son of the late Matthew and Mary Painter Crowder and was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Crowder and three infants.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Kinnard Crowder; a son, Joe David Crowder of Whitleyville; daughters, Helen Mahaney and Pat Meadows, both of Gainesboro, Brenda Lee of Hilham; a brother, Earl Crowder of Whitleyville; sisters, Irene Anderson of Whitleyville, Nervie Martin of Cookeville, Ila Stone and Polly Scott, both of Murfreesboro, Jean Brown of Indianapolis, Ind., Reba Short of Moss; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A native of Jackson County, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dorothy Smith
Services for Dorothy "Dottie" Smith, of Lancaster, who died Saturday, Jan. 16, at Baptist Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gregory's Church with burial in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jim Bretl will officiate.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Naomi Duffner Bell.
She is survived by her husband William C. Smith; sons, William C. Smith II of Murfreesboro, Thomas F. Smith of Georgia, and J. Michael Smith of Nashville.
She was a teacher at DeKalb County Middle School and attended St. Gregory's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. A rosary service is planned for 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 p.m.

Thelma Ruth Green
Services for Thelma Ruth Green, 81, of Manchester, who died Sunday, Jan. 17, after an extended illness, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Cannon County. Odell Powell will officiate.
She was the daughter of the late Chrisley Messick and Ella Wilson Messick, the widow of Oscar Cecil Green and was preceded in death by sons Billy Green and Oscar Cecil Green Jr.
She is survived by sons Marvin Green, Frank Donald Green, and Melvin Green, all of Woodbury, Jimmy Green of Bradyville; daughters Ruby Velasco of Monterey Park, Calif., Betty Grissom of Woodbury, Melba Emptage of Whittier, Calif., Joyce Burns of Murfreesboro, Peggy Sain of Manchester; a sister, Bernice Bush of Tullahoma; stepsister Oma Jean Sherrill of Bradyville; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rubye Lee Allman
Services for Rubye Lee Reed Allman, 78, of Walnut Grove Road, Christiana, who died Saturday, Jan. 16, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Mark Gregory will officiate.
She was the daughter of the late William Elbern and Nannie Belle Lorance Reed.
She is survived by her husband, S.J. Allman Sr.; daughters Jean Adams, Peggy Thornton, Gayle Brooks, all of Murfreesboro; sons, S.J. "Sonny" Allman Jr. of Christiana and Larry Allman of Shelbyville; a sister, Bessie Blanche Reed of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A native of Cannon County, she was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Sunshine Center.

Joseph M. Peebles
Memorial services for Joseph M. Peebles, 75, who died Thursday, Jan. 14, at NHC HealthCare will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. David Garth will officiate.
He was the son of the late Samuel Coles and Helena Salmon Peebles.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Pack Peebles; sons Joseph Peebles Jr. of Van Buren Ark., Christopher Peebles and Thomas Peebles, both of Excelsior, Minn.; brothers Samuel Coles Peebles and James Salmon Peebles, both of Portsmouth, Ohio; a sister, Susan Pillsbury of Philadelphia, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A native of Ashland, Ky., he was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church.
He retired from Pillsbury Company in 1988 as a mechanical engineer and was a member of Habitat for Humanity.
Memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church or the American Diabetic Association.
Visitation will follow the service at First Presbyterian Church. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She was the daughter of the late Kell and Evvie Garrett Lovvorn, the widow of William Jennette and was preceded in death by daughter Eleanor Hicks and sons Lewis Donald Jennette and James Dewey Jennette.
She is survived by a son, David Roy Jennette of Christiana; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A native of Rutherford County, she was a member of the Baptist church.

He is the son of John Sanborn of Liberty and Christine Sanborn of Woodbury.
He is survived by sisters Erica Sanborn of Melbane, N.C., Nellie Sanborn and Daisy Sanborn, both of Memphis, Jennifer Van Hoorn of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Jane Sanborn of Woodbury; grandparents Margaret Josselyn Sanborn of Elma, N.Y., Ann Sibble of Buffalo, N.Y., Edward and Audrey Sibble of Vero Beach, Fla.
A native of Cannon County, he was a student and attended St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Woodbury Funeral Home.
