Ruth Thomas Mitchell
Services for Ruth Thomas Mitchell, 81, of Christiana, who died Saturday, Jan. 23, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Wiatt Funk will officiate.
She was the daughter of the late Elmo and Patra Brothers Thomas and the widow of John A. Mitchell.
She is survived by a son, Allen Mitchell of Nashville; and a sister, Imogene Gilliland of Christiana.
A native of Rutherford County, she was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Murfreesboro or St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Arthur D. Reed
Memorial services for Arthur Dickerson Reed of Nashville, who died Monday, Jan. 25, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at West End United Methodist Church.
He was the son of James Hugh and Florence Eakin Reed and the widower of Ruth Tigert Bradbury.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Shanley Bray; sons John Bradbury Reed, Arthur Dickerson Reed Jr., both of Nashville; stepdaughters Helen Bray Jeffers of Easton, Pa., Mary Elizabeth Bray Womack of Nashville; a sister, Florence Cox McFerrin of Murfreesboro; and seven grandchildren.
A native of Murfreesboro, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a founder of Smith, Reed and Thompson Insurance Agency where he was an agent for Northwestern Mutual Life. He was a founder and president of United Way of Middle Tennessee. He served on the boards of the American Heart Association, the Nashville Symphony, and the Nashville Chapter of the American Red Cross. He was a member of West End United Methodist Church and a member of the Rotary Club, the Cumberland Club, and Belle Meade Country Club.
Visitation will be Wednesday after 11:30 a.m. at the church in Reed Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Alive Hospice, West End United Methodist Church or the donor's charity of choice.

Robert Lee Neal
Services for Robert Lee Neal, 73, of Shelbyville, who died Monday, Jan. 25, at Mountain View Health Care Center in Winchester, was to be 1 p.m. today at Gowen-Smith Chapel with burial in Willow Mount Cemetery. Johnny Donnell will officiate.
He was the son of the late Willie Pruitt.
He is survived by sons Edward Neal of Christiana, Jackie Neal of Smyrna, Jerry Neal of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A native of Bedford County, he was a retired school bus mechanic for the county and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Visitation was held Monday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Walter Woolwine and Virginia Odom Adams.
He is survived by sons Johnny B. Adams of Knoxville, Wendell F. Adams of Smyrna; a sister, Dell Caldwell of Paris; and two grandchildren.
A native of Auburntown, he was a retired teamster and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Henry Grady Sullivan
Graveside services for Henry Grady Sullivan, 83, of Rockvale, who died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hayes Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Jim Sullivan and Myrtle Hobbs Sullivan and the widower of Mary Ruth Clark Sullivan.
He is survived by sons James Larry Sullivan of Murfreesboro, Carl Sullivan and Clifford Sullivan, both of Rockvale; daughters Joyce Barrett of Lascassas, Annie Ruth Frost of Arno, Patricia Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Gloria Sullivan of Rockvale; brothers Jimmy Sullivan and Howard Sullivan, both of Murfreesboro; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A native of Rutherford County, he was a former auto mechanic for Byrn Motor Company and Benford Motor Company. He attended Westview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.

Max H. Elsom
Services for Max H. Elsom, 75, of Leanna Road, who died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at NHC HealthCare of Murfreesboro, will be held at a later date in California. Burial will be in Alta Mesa Cemetery in Palo Alto, Calif.
He was the son of the late Lee and Edith Latimer Elsom.
He is survived by daughters Susan Pippin of San Jose, Calif., Carol Hill of Magalia, Calif.; a brother, Warren Elsom of Marysville, Ohio; a sister, Mary Cornett of Marysville, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
A native of Plain City, Ohio, he was a retired civil engineer field inspector for the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of Belle Aire Baptist Church and was elected as an ambassador for the Tennessee senior olympics.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
