William Paige Manier, 46, of Rockvale, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003. Mr. Manier was a native of Lawton, Okla., and was a graduate of Community School in Unionville. He was employed with Pillsbury Corporation of Murfreesboro and formerly was a supervisor for Detroit Diesel of Nashville. Mr. Manier was a member of the Rover Baptist Church.
He is survived by wife Elizabeth Gold Manier, of Rockvale; daughter Amanda Paige Manier, of Rockvale; mother and father Barbara Jean and Earl L. Manier, both of Rockvale; brothers Earl Reed Manier and Wade Lee Manier, both of Rockvale, and Thomas Dean, of Mobile, Ala.

Howard Thomas Denton, 72, of La Vergne, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003.
A native of Davidson County, he was the son of the late Charles Howard and Bertha Restora Potts Denton.
He is survived by his wife Margie Duke Denton; sons Thomas A. (Judy) Denton, of La Vergne, and Timothy D. Denton, of Springfield; daughters Catherine E. (Rickie) Minatra, Suzanne M. Denton, Patricia G. Denton, all of Nashville, and Kimberley R. (Phlip) Mankin, of Smyrna; brothers Bobby D. Denton, of Mt. Juliet, and Larry E. Denton, of Smyrna; sisters Juanita Fuqua, of Hermitage, Mary J. Cantrell, of Unionville, Barbara J. Ellis, of Franklin, and Shirley B. Williams, of Nolensville; 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Denton was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles R. and Ronald C. Denton, and by sister, Ruth Corinne Ferrell and Elizabeth King.

Addie Bell Ross, 80, of Rockvale, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at home.
A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Ruby Fields Heath Sr.
She is survived by husband Owen Ross; daughters Mary Evelyn (Wayne) Lamb, of Christiana, Pamela Jean (Ronnie) Grasham, of Woodbury; son Jimmy Wayne (Ovie) Ross, of Nashville; sisters Lela Carter, of Unionville, Katherine Ross, of Murfreesboro, and Edith Scott, of Durango, Colo.; brother James Heath, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Michelle Stewart, Misty Yealock, Melissa Phillips and Barbara Duran, Timberly, Jason, Dalton and Addie Ross, and Danielle and Tyler Grasham; and five great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Midland Baptist Church and was retired from Heathcraft. Mrs. Ross was a devoted homemaker.

John R. Jones, 87, Lucky community resident and Warren County native, died Sept. 20 at home.
A retired civil service employee with the Veterans Administration, a farmer and a member of Earleyville Church of Christ and VFW Post 173, he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
The son of the late C.L. and Ola Jones, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Stewart and brother, Philip Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beth Ammons Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Ray Ann and Don McCord of Eagleville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Nancy Jones of McMinnville, Wayne and Teresa Jones of Murfreesboro; and seven grandchildren, Joel and Keith McCord, Adam, Nick, Jamisen, Zachary and Blake Jones.

Dalton Ray McCune, 56, of Rockvale, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at St. Thomas Hospital after a short illness.
He was the son of the late George and Bertha Lovell McCune.
He is survived by son Doug McCune, of Bell Buckle; and daughter Chris Sherburne, of Murfreesboro; and three grandchildren.
A native of Alabama, he was employed at MTSU.

Rubye Harris Adams, 80, passed away Sept. 19, 2003, after an extensive battle with breast cancer. Survived by husband James Oliver Adams; daughters Pat (Richard) Kieffer, Eagleville, and Judy West, Bible Grove, Ill.; sons Richard Gary (Janie) Adams, Knoxville, and Oliver Keith Adams, Nashville; brothers James Harris, Nashville, and Larry Harris, Lynnville. She had seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Northfield Blvd. Church of Christ in Murfreesboro.

Vernon E. (King) Berry, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at his home.
He was the son of the late Charlie B. and Velma McElhaney King.
He is survived by wife Gladys Jones Berry, of Gallatin; sons Bryan Berry, of Cotton Town, Bobby Berry, of Gallatin; daughter Patricia Ann Berry, of Hendersonville; brothers Joe King, of Eagleville, Richard King, of Murfreesboro, Bob King, of Smyrna, Charlie King, of Eagleville, Paul King, of Murfreesboro, David King, of Spring City, and Phillip King, of Tampa, Fla.; sister Charlotte King Ralston, of Eagleville; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A World War II veteran and a native of Grundy County, he lived in the Almaville Community and later moved to Gallatin. He retired from TVA.

Henry Darryl Mosley, 42, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Williamson Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Williamson County, Mr. Mosley was a resident of College Grove, graduate of Page High School and member of Christ Family Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannine Maddox. Survivors include his parents, Clyde Sr. and Margaret Mosley of College Grove; a son, Daniel Denton Mosley of Lyles; a sister, Alice (Frank) Hernandez of Franklin; and two brothers, Clyde (Carrol) Mosley Jr. of Greenbrier and Reed (Lea) Mosley of Mount Juliet.

Jacob McCabe Brewer, infant was stillborn Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
He is survived by his parents, James Michael and Anissa Reynolds Brewer; two brothers, Justin and Matthew Brewer, of Wartrace; grandparents James and Pat Baxter, of Unionville, Nancy Reynolds, of Wartrace, and Taylor and Carol Reynolds, of Wartrace.

Clara Mae Johnson Lillard Winton, 81, Rockvale resident and Warren County native, died Aug. 30 in Rockvale.
A homemaker and a member of Brown Chapel Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Nelson and Clara Bell King Johnson; and was preceded in death by her first husband, Fate Lillard; and second husband, Hollis Winton Jr. II; sons, Hollis Winton III and Caldwell Winton; granddaughter, Debra Peaches Richardson; sister and brother-in-law, Emma Ruth and Wiley Martin; brother-in-law, Joe Richardson; and sister-in-law, Marie Johnson.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille Richardson, Eldora Ann and James Woods, all of Murfreesboro, Janese and Larry Elder of Rockvale, Hollene and Thomas Williams of New York; sons and daughters-in-law, Jewell and Eve Lillard of South Carolina, Charles and Linda Lillard of Smyrna, Paula and Barbara Lillard of Pontiac Mich., and Ft. Worth, Texas; 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lou and Booker Thomas of Ft. Worth, Lorene and Willie Bass of McMinnville; brothers and sister-in-law, Eunice Johnson of McMinnville, James and Helen Johnson of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
