ROBERT E. BRADY, 79, of Nashville, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, founder and president of the Brady Family Historical Association and the Pioneer Heritage Center, died of cancer Wednesday in Nashville. West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory in Nashville has charge. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Boy Scouts of America and ATO at Wittenberg University, and was a published member of ASCAP. Mr. Brady, the husband of Joanne Brady, leaves local survivors, including two grandchildren.

JOHN LAVERNE BRINT, 90, of Ripley, Miss., farmer and former employee of Bolivar (Tenn.) Tannery, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis after a stroke. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Ripley Church of Christ, where he was a member, with burial in Tippah Memorial Gardens. McBride Funeral Home in Ripley has charge. Mr. Brint, the widower of Grace Sale Brint, leaves local survivors including a sister, Annie Maude Shearin of Memphis, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

LENORA JEAN HIGGINBOTTOM, 66, of Selmer, Tenn., retired from Brown Shoe Co., died of heart failure Friday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with burial in Lake Hill Memory Garden in Bethel Springs, Tenn. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She leaves local survivors including a daughter, Cathy Higginbottom, and a brother, Andrew Teague, both of Memphis, and six grandchildren.

ROBERT ALLEN HILLIARD, 68, of Hixson, Tenn., owner of H&L; Nursery, died of cancer Saturday at his home. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hixson, where he was a member. Chattanooga Funeral Home has charge. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and an educator for the State of Tennessee. Mr. Hilliard, the husband of Kitty Hilliard, also leaves local survivors including a daughter, Kitty Sansing of Memphis, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that memorials be sent to Hospice of Tennessee, the American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church.

SALLIE FRANCES POTTS LAMBERT, 87, of Corinth, Miss., retired merchant, died of heart failure Saturday in Lakeland. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Coleman Funeral Home in Corinth with burial in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery. She was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Lambert, the widow of John H. Lambert, leaves local survivors including a daughter, Lanell L. Brewer, and a son, Danny K. Lambert, both of Lakeland, and six grandchildren.

CHARLES NELSON ROSS, 57, of Corinth, Miss., self-employed businessman, died of cancer Friday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McPeters Funeral Home in Corinth with burial in Forrest Memorial Park cemetery there. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. Mr. Ross, the husband of Paula Hopkins Ross, also leaves local survivors including a brother, A.V. McDowell of Memphis. The family requests that memorials be sent to North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford.

REV. CASPER A. WILSON JR., 67, of Marked Tree, Ark., pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Tyronza, Ark., for 40 years and retired from Local Union 90 in Memphis, died of heart failure Friday at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church in Tyronza with burial in Tyronza cemetery. Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Ark., has charge. Rev. Wilson, the husband of Norma Wilson, also leaves local survivors including a sister, Joyce Smith, and a brother, Frank Wilson, both of Memphis, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

VIVIAN MOORE BARBER, 62, of Memphis, retired medical transcriber for Baptist Memorial Hospital, died of heart failure Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-Central. Services will be at noon Monday at Greater New Shiloh Baptist Church with burial in Bethlehem cemetery in Moscow. M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Barber, the widow of V.C. Barber, also leaves a stepson, Bobby L. Barber of San Pedro, Calif.; a sister, Naomi Smith and a brother, Burnnie Moore, both of Memphis, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Campbell of Cave City, Ark.; a brother, Wasson Kent of Mountain Home, Ark., and a grandson. The family requests that memorials be sent to Avondale Missionary Baptist Church in West Memphis.

Mrs. Chaplin, the widow of Ovet Lee Chaplin, leaves a daughter, Sharon Spencer of Orlando; a son, Levert C. Roosevelt Chapman Jr., Thurmond Leon Chapman, Vernon Leroy Chapman, Robert James Chapman and Keith Cavell Chapman, all of Memphis; a sister, Iva Lee Johnson, and a brother, James Dyson Jr., both of Chicago, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ervin, the widower of Lorean Ervin, leaves three sons, Stephen Ervin and Randy Ervin, both of Millington, and Don Ervin of Cuero, Texas, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He leaves two daughters, Judy Gilland and Shannon Gilland, and a son, William Ray Gilland Jr., all of Southaven; a sister, Josephine Lee, and a brother, Clinton Gilland, both of Marion, Ark.; a caregiver, Katherine Spears of Memphis, and four grandchildren.

BETTY E. GRIFFIN, 76, of Crestview, Fla., formerly of Memphis, died of cancer Wednesday at her home. She was a former member of the First Independent Baptist Church in Crestview and Eastgate Baptist Church in Greenwood, Miss. Mrs. Griffin, the widow of Samuel Griffin, leaves two sons, Pastor Samuel R. Griffin Jr. of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Pastor Charles E. Griffin of Crestview; a sister, Joan Reid of Wellingborough, England, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
