GEORGE KENNETH HOOD, 65, of West Memphis, retired businessman, died of lung disease Tuesday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Joiner (Ark.) Church of Christ, where he was a member, with burial in Bassett (Ark.) cemetery. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He leaves two daughters, Debbie Bryant of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Candace Hood of Springhill, Fla.; three sons, Jimmy R. Hood of Cordova, Bruce Hood of St. Petersburg and Mark Hood of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Elsie Arnold of Clinton, Ark., and Norma Blakey of Little Rock; two brothers, Thomas Hood of Clinton and James Hood of Crawfordsville, Ark., and 10 grandchildren. ZENOBIA 'NED GRANNY' HUGHES, 89, of Memphis, died of heart failure Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-South.
