LYDIA S. BODAMER, age 86, of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Memphis, died Sunday, February 17, 2002, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Bodamer was born March 19, 1915 in Moberly, Missouri. She was a retired employee of the Internal Revenue Service and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E, Bodamer, Sr. and a son, George E. Bodamer, Jr.
Survivors include 1 Daughter and Son-in-law, Virginia and Clyde Permenter of Texarkana, Texas; 1 Son and 1 Daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Toni Bodamer of Memphis, Tn.; 2 Grandchildren, Josh Permenter of Texarkana, Texas and Tina Bodamer of Memphis, Tn.; and 2 Nieces.
Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday at Memorial Park cemetery, 5668 Poplar St., Memphis. Burial will be under the direction of
Texarkana Funeral Home.

BOBBY JOE CROWE, 69, formerly of Memphis, retired air conditioning mechanic & electrician died 2-16-2002 at Hardin County General Hospital in Savannah, TN. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean & Vietnam War, a member of Fleet Reserve Association & Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association. RUBY PALMER MABILE, 89, former resident of Memphis, Tennessee, died February 11th in her home in Plano, Texas. Mrs. Mabile was born on October 31, 1912 in New Albany, Mississippi & lived the majority of her life in Memphis. She & her husband John B. Mabile, who preceded her in death, moved to Texas in 1988 to be near their son & daughter-in-law, Jim & Carole Mabile. Mrs. Mabile leaves behind a son & daughter, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren & a sister she loved so much, Mrs. Opal Rush of Memphis. Known by her nieces & nephews as"Aunt Ruby", she treasured the love & friendship they gave, & she loved each one of them dearly. A visitation will be held in Memphis, Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30, February 18th followed by funeral services on Tuesday the 19th of February at 1:00, at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel. The family requests that flowers be sent to Memphis Funeral Home or a donation made to the SPCA.

Kay (Carolyn) McCall, 70, of Waco, died Thursday, February 7, 2002 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, February 17th at the First Baptist Church of Memphis, Tenn., at the corner of Poplar and Parkway. Kay was born February 13, 1931 in Memphis, Tenn. to Carroll W. and Margurite Rosselot, her father preceded her in death in 1973. She was a graduate of Memphis Schools and later an honor graduate at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. Throughout her career, Kay was dedicated to the development, quality of life and care of others. She helped to develop the Geriatric Program at the University of Oklahoma - College of Medicine. She served as Director of the Patient/Guest Relations Program at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where she created the Patient/Guest Relations Program with the Rotary House International Medical Hotel, a place for patients and family to stay in a close proximity to the hospital. It is a place where they can receive patient care before, during and after their stay with many activities and support groups.
This is such a model program that the Marriott Corp. is trying to implement this same program in many different hospitals throughout the United States. Kay's greatest achievement was being a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was very active with the GA's, her Sunday school classes, WMU and many other activities concerning her church. She was most recently a member of First Baptist Woodway. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Memphis. Survivors include her husband, Charles McCall, M.D. of Waco, Texas, mother, Margurite Rosselot of Waco, daughters, Linda Blunt, M.D. of Clairemore, Oklahoma, Kim Gorman of Snyder, Texas, Betsy Gary of Knoxville, Tennessee, Cathy McCall, R.N. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Jennifer Blunt, Trey Gorman, Charlie Gorman, Stephanie Crump, Melissa Crump, Joe Crump, Tod Gary, Michael Gary, and sister, Marilyn Kenyon of Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kay McCall Memorial Fund at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for Patient/Guest Relations, Box 297153, Houston, TX 77297. Marika Nazikian Stamboulian, 90, of Memphis, died early Monday morning at Baptist East Hospital. Visitation will be held 11AM-12PM, Tuesday, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1PM, Tuesday, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Highland with burial to follow at Memorial Park. She was known by all as "Yaya", which means "grandmother" in Greek. Yaya's parents were killed in the Armenian genocide, and she was adopted by a Greek family and raised in Cyprus. Her siblings found her when she was about 18 years old, at which time she moved to Lebanon and embraced her Armenian heritage. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Yaya leaves behind two daughters, Jenny Kish of Memphis and Alice Avedikian of Montreal, Canada; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family requests that all memorials be sent to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

REV. HENRY MARION, Jr. 71 of Memphis, TN died Sunday at Baptist Hospital East. N.J. FORD & SONS FUNERAL HOME has charge. He was Pastor of House of Prayer Baptist Church. Rev. Marion was the husband of Beatrice Marion. He was a former member of Parkway Garden Presbyterian Church, St. James Baptist Church and Gospel Truth Baptist Church. He pastored House of Prayer Baptist Church for 15 years until his health failed. Rev. Marion was past Worshipful Master of Hiram Lodge #7 and past Worthy Patron of Elta Selmon Chapter of Eastern Star. He was active in the Walker Homes Community when he was a young man. He was a former WDIA Baseball and Basketball Coach during the 1960's and early 1970's. He was a recipient of numerous awards for outstanding service presented by Hiram Lodge #7 and Eastern Star.
He leaves to mourn his passing a beloved wife Beatrice, 6 sons, Henry Marion III, Lester Marion, Jerome Marion, Troy Marion and Tracy Marion all of Memphis, TN, Carl Marion of Oklahoma City. Three daughters Cynthia White, Sherrie Whitlock and Tonya Marion all of Memphis, TN. He also leaves to mourn his passing 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters; Addie Coleman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Amanda Coleman of Round Lake, Mississippi, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Rev. Marion will lie in state Friday 2/8/02 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church at 1930 Hearst St. The funeral will be Saturday 2/9/02 at 12:30 p.m. at Eternal Peace Baptist Church, 1251 S. Willett.
Interment will be at Memphis Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Lula Mosby, 92, of Moscow, passed Saturday, February 2, 2002, at Methodist Hospital North. Services will be 1:30 PM., Saturday, February 9, 2002, at St. Paul M.B. Church in Moscow, where she was a member and served on the usher board. Interment will be in the church cemetery. J.A. Lofties Funeral Home has charge.
Mrs. Mosby, the widow of Ollie P. (Jab) Mosby is survived by a loving nephew and his family, whom she raised, Willie "Peanuckle" (Shirley) Jackson and their children, Sheena, Sierra and Willie Lee Gavin Jackson of Moscow; two granddaughters, Gladys D. Baker and Peggy Casey of Memphis; one great grandson, Derrick Casey of Memphis; seven nieces and five nephews.
Mrs. Reola Smith Norman, 95, passed Monday, February 4, 2002, at Methodist Central.
Services will be Saturday, February 9th, 10AM, at the St. Paul M.B. Church in Moscow, TN, where she served on the Mother Board. Burial at Springhill CME Church cemetery in Somerville, TN. J.A. LOFTIES FUNERAL HOME has charge.
Mrs. Norman, the widow of Joseph Norman, is survived by 1 daughter, Cassie L. Winston; son-in-law, Wilbur Winston, Sr.; five grandchildren, Mrs. Martha Chandler, Mrs. Darlene Turner, Mrs. Penney Peete, Mr. Wilbur Winston, Jr., and Mr. Phil Winston; 2 cousins, Mrs. Mattie Peete Walton and Mrs. Elnora Haliburt; and 6 great grandchildren.
BESSIE (BILLIE) DALE passed away on Feb. 1, 2002 at age 92. Billie was born in Mississippi but lived most of her life in Germantown, Tn. She moved to Maitland, Fl in 1995.
She retired from the Dept. of Agriculture as a cotton classer. She also spent many years on a farm in Germantown where she lived with her mother, May Davis and sister, Boyce Wilds. She stayed very busy with her chickens, cattle and tending to a large vegetable garden.
Her positive outlook on life was an inspiration to all. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She leaves her nephew & his wife, Sam and Cathey Bowers, Orlando, Fl, nieces, Patricia Weatherly, Anna Maria, FL, and Debbie Bowers, Ontario, Canada.
She also leaves several great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Forest Hills cemetery, Mid-Town.
