JAMES CARLTON PIPKIN, 75, of Memphis, retired plumber, died Saturday at St. Peter Villa Nursing Home after a stroke. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. Mr. Pipkin, the widower of Susie R. Pipkin, leaves two sons, Ronnie Pipkin of Millington and Rick Pipkin of Dallas; a sister, Kitty Sills, and a brother, John Pipkin, both of Mobile, Ala., six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

MYRLE L. REED, 90, of Decaturville, Tenn., formerly of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at Decatur County General Hospital in Parsons after a stroke. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. today at St. Reginia Catholic Church in Parsons with burial in Memorial Park in Memphis. Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden has charge.
