GLORIA S. RILEY, 71, of Saginaw, Mich., pianist and soloist, died Tuesday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Browne's Mortuary in Saginaw with burial in Forest Lawn cemetery there. Harrison's Funeral Home Orange Mound Chapel has local charge. She was a pianist and senior choir member at Corinthian Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She leaves a daughter, Lavetta J. Johnson, and a son, Charles T. Riley, both of Schaumburg, Ill., a sister, LoJean Kingsberry, and a brother, Kenneth Brannan, both of Natchez, Miss., three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

EARNEST AUBREY SANDERS JR., 64, of Memphis, farmer and carpenter, died Monday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. Services will be at noon today at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with burial in Embury cemetery in Millington. Mr. Sanders, the husband of Betty Gaskins Sanders, also leaves a daughter, Lorrie Ann Sanders Wright of Wappapello, Mo.; two sons, Billy Dale Sanders of Memphis and Bobby Wayne Sanders of Covington; two sisters, Ruby Alday of Mississippi and Lillie B. Chavez of California; six brothers, Leroy Sanders of Wyoming, Billy Joe Sanders, James Robert Sanders and Ricky Sanders, all of California, Paul Ed Sanders of Montana and Johnny Sanders of Tennessee, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MADELINE L. SEALY, 91, of Memphis, died Friday at Methodist Healthcare-North. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Sealy, the widow of Howard G. Sealy, leaves two daughters, Barbara S. Russell of Memphis and Carolyn S. Swindell of Bartlett; three sisters, Willa Mae Thomas of Wathena, Kan., Elsie Ashford of Water Valley, Miss., and Faye Hayden of Batesville, Miss., eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

FRANCES GERTRUDE WILLIAMSON SISSELL, 98, of Harwich, Mass., formerly of Memphis and Water Valley, Miss., retired traffic rate clerk, died Sept. 18 at Cranberry Pointe Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Harwich. Services were Sept. 29 at Cranberry Pointe Nursing Home with burial Oct. 26 in Oak Hill cemetery in Water Valley. Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Homes in Bourne, Mass., has charge. She was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church in Memphis, United Methodist Women and a volunteer for the American Red Cross Shelby County Chapter and the Memphis Literacy Council. Mrs. Sissell, the widow of William E. Sissell, leaves a son, Rev. William E. Sissell of Chatham, Mass., six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family requests that memorials be sent to Union Avenue United Methodist Church.

DAVIE SUMLIN, 70, of Memphis, died Wednesday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Sumlin, the husband of Florence Mae Sumlin, also leaves three daughters, Cassandra Kizer of Chicago, and Diane Sumlin and Ruth Oaks, both of Memphis; a sister, Rosie Williams, and two brothers, Robert Sumlin and Ben Exon, all of Memphis, 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

HERBERT WALTER THOMPSON, 71, of Tipton County, formerly of Memphis, retired painter for the City of Memphis, died Friday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. He was a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and a member of Macon Road Presbyterian Church. Mr. Thompson, the widower of Sheila F. Thompson, leaves three daughters, Livia T. Manard and Connie T. Hall, both of Brighton, and Christine T. Finger of Hernando; two sisters, June Williams of Memphis and Gloria Wise of Counce, Tenn., and four grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Memphis Union Mission or the Memphis Ronald McDonald House.

JANETTE WELLS, 46, of Memphis, office manager for Memphis Chemical Co., died Thursday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. R. S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a former member of St. Luke Baptist Church. She leaves two sons, Christopher Glover and Terry Wells; her parents, Robert and Bertha Armstrong Wells, and five sisters, Emma Elliott, Rosemary Jordan, Stephanie Wells, Sandra Wells and Gloria Davis, all of Memphis, and two brothers, Ricky Wells of Memphis and Robert Wells Jr. of New Orleans.

MICHAEL WAYNE WILSON, 33, of Memphis, police officer for the City of Memphis, was found dead Thursday at his home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Roller Family Funeral Home with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. He was a Baptist and a member of the DeSoto Masonic Lodge 299 F&AM; and the Memphis Police Association. He leaves his parents, Linda and Cecil Wilson, and a sister, Rebecca Kollatz, all of Memphis; his grandparents, Rachel Wilson of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Lois Graham of Memphis, and his great-grandmother, Syble Reno of Memphis.
