EMMETT E. YATES, 94, of Memphis, retired accountant from the IRS, died Thursday at Kirby Pines Nursing Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of Park Avenue Church of Christ. Mr. Yates, the widower of Christine Yates, leaves a daughter, Judy Coughlin of Memphis; a son, Jere Yates of Westlake Village, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
