WILLIE E. LINDSEY, 99, of Memphis, retired railroadman from Southern Railroad, died Sunday at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church on Vance, where he was a member of Willing Workers, with burial in Forest Hill cemetery Midtown. Harrison's Funeral Home Orange Mound Chapel has charge. He was founder and charter member of the Historical Wellington-Shadowlawn Neighborhood Club and Neighborhood Watch and member of the railroad union. Mr. Lindsey, the widower of Ruby S. Lindsey, leaves eight daughters, Roberta L. Smith of Clarksville, Margaret L. Robinson, Ruby L. Johnson and Agnes L. Williams, all of Memphis, Joann L. Jones of Nashville, Mildred L. Turner and Sylvia L. Lindsey, both of Philadelphia, and Dorothy L. Jordan of Los Angeles; a son, Dr. Willie Lindsey Jr. of Memphis; a brother, Manuel Robinson of Jackson, Miss.; four grandchildren whom he raised, Gloria Weaver Haney and Deorrick Lindsey Washington, both of Memphis, Ronney L. Lindsey of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Leon T. Weaver of Los Angeles, 42 other grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren and eight great-great-great-grandchildren.

RUBY GASSON MATHIS, 90, of Covington, homemaker, died Monday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home in Covington with burial in Mt. Lebanon cemetery there. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Mrs. Mathis, the wife of Leroy R. Mathis, also leaves a daughter, Carolyn Smith of Brighton; a son, Reeves Mathis of Covington, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Mt. Lebanon cemetery Fund.

ELMO MAXWELL, 77, of 418 E. Fernwood, died Tuesday at his home. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a Navy veteran and member of Oaksville Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves three daughters, Luvenia Washington of Chicago, and Linda Cunningham and Brenda Clay, both of Memphis; a son, Michael S. Maxwell of Memphis, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

BURL A. McPHERSON, 85, of Memphis, retired from Firestone after 38 years, died Monday at Methodist Healthcare-North. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. He was a member of Macon Road Church of Christ. Mr. McPherson, the widower of Ilee McPherson, leaves a son, Burl A. McPherson Jr. of Cordova, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center.

JESSIE JAMES MILLER, 77, of Memphis, died Friday at Methodist Healthcare-South. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Easthaven cemetery. E. H. Ford Mortuary Services has charge. Mr. Miller, the widower of Alice Miller, leaves nine daughters, Ora Jean Johnson, Valerie McBride, Diane Scott, Wanda Scott, Keisha Taylor, Tracy Miller and Tameka Miller, all of Memphis, and Annie Pearl Hayes and Patricia Taylor, both of Crenshaw, Miss.; five sons, Larry J. Miller of Norfolk, Va., Rodney K. Miller, Derrick Taylor and Kenneth Miller, all of Memphis, and Dwight Miller of Terre Haute, Ind.; five sisters, Sarah Pratcher of St. Louis, Roberta Miller of Mobile, Ala., Mary Hertz of Como, Miss., and Betty J. Miller and Elaine Miller, both of Memphis; five brothers, Charles Miller, Willie B. Miller and Johnnie B. Miller, all of Memphis, Leonard Miller of Nashville and Joe Miller of Como, 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

NELL RENFRO, 63, of Lakeland, homemaker, died Monday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. She was a member of Jackson Avenue United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Renfro, the wife of Dan Renfro, also leaves a daughter, Temia Herndon of Lakeland; a son, Stan Renfro of Carrollton, Texas; three sisters, Olean Jackson, Anna Davis and Mary Jane Davis, all of Cunningham, Ky.; three brothers, Delbert Partin and Albert Partin, both of Cunningham, and Benny Partin of Scott City, Mo., and six grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Carcinoid Cancer Foundation Inc. in White Plains, N.Y., or Baptist Trinity Hospice Foundation.

BILLY NEALE 'ROBB' ROBBINS, 65, of Belton, Mo., formerly of Memphis, retired from the Army, former supervisor of facilities operations for KU Medical Center and owner of R&R; Refrigeration & Maintenance and Billy N. Robbins Property Management Co., died Saturday in Kansas City, Mo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at E. K. George & Sons Funeral Home in Belton with burial in Belton cemetery. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8220 and Grandview Masonic Lodge. Mr. Robbins, the husband of Susan Robbins, also leaves three daughters, Donna Wheater of Ripley, Tenn., Denise Waldrip of Southaven and Dawn Robbins of Panama City, Fla.; a son, Robert Marple of Belton; a sister, Shirley Lambert, and a brother, Mike Robbins, both of Memphis, and seven grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Robb Robbins Athletic Scholarship Fund in Belton.

Mrs. Branstetter, the wife of Ted O. Branstetter, also leaves a daughter, Teresa Brignole of Bartlett; three stepdaughters, Cecilia Drennan and Cathy Menn, both of Boerne, Texas, and Celeste Branstetter of San Antonio, Texas; a stepson, Matt Branstetter of West Memphis; her mother, Sadie M. Botto, and two brothers, Howard J. Botto Jr. and Joseph 'Monty' Botto, all of Memphis, and four grandchildren.
