GEORGE DOUGLAS Jr., 68, of Memphis, died Thursday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at M.J. Edwards and Sons Funeral Home with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. He was an Army veteran. He leaves two daughters, Erika Lester and Kenyon Douglas, both of Chicago; a son, Jabor Stevens of Detroit; two sisters, Arthur Mae Watkins of Memphis and Thelma Ivory of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.

SARA P. DOUGLASS, 93, of Memphis, retired from McFadden Cotton Co., died Thursday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, a founder of the Mid-South Embroiderers Guild and a member of the National Standards Council of American Embroiderers, the Embroiderers Guild of America and the Embroiderers Guild of London. Mrs. Douglass, the widow of Richard R. Douglass Jr., leaves two stepdaughters, Nona D. Lackey and Margaret D. She was president of the Student Government Association and Sigma Alpha Mu sorority at Memphis State University and was president of the Christian Brothers High School Mothers Club.
