JAMES LESLIE PROVOST, 74, of Byhalia, Miss., retired superintendent from Memphis Compress, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roller Family Funeral Home. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Provost, the husband of Mildred Jean Provost, also leaves a son, James Leslie Provost of Byhalia; four sisters, Kathryn Finfrock and Ray Rowland, both of West Memphis, Margaret Scott of Heber Springs, Ark., and Marion Smith of Holly Springs, Miss., and a brother, Hugh I.
