BEULAH MAE SIMS, 83, of Memphis, formerly of Calhoun City, Miss., retired checker for Piggly Wiggly, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City with burial in New Gauley cemetery there. She was a member of New Gauley Baptist Church. Mrs. Sims, the widow of Roy T. Sims, leaves a daughter, Annie Mae Sims Spencer, and a sister, Wanda Sue Smith, both of Memphis, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

LULA LATHAM STEPHENSON, 92, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Memphis, died Saturday in Jackson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of Mullins United Methodist Church and an associate of Draughton Business College and Dale Carnegie and was a volunteer for the Reach to Discover Cancer Program.
