DONALD D. BAKER, 61, of Memphis, stationary engineer, died Tuesday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. He was a member of Leawood Baptist Church. Mr. Baker, the husband of Betty Cryer Baker for 43 years, also leaves two daughters, Vanessa Baker Danley of Memphis and Donnita S. Baker of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Faye Howell of Saulsbury, Tenn., three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Mason YMCA, American Legion and the board of the Civitan and Hemophilia associations, charter member of Raleigh Lions Club, chairman of United Way Federal Civilian Division and a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Curtis, the husband of Amalia Hill Curtis for 69 years, also leaves a son, James O. Curtis of Selma; two sisters, Louise Waltz and Margaret Mayo, both of Memphis, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
