HENRY N. SIMON, 90, of West Memphis, retired meat cutter from Kroger and former manager of Perry's Grocery, died Saturday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ingram Boulevard Baptist Church in West Memphis, where he was a member, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Simon, the husband of Louise Simon, also leaves three daughters, Betty Wilkerson and Mary Rivas, both of West Memphis, and Carolyn Watson of Hughes, Ark.; two sons, Henry Simon Jr. of Memphis and Arthur Simon of Marion; a sister, Sue Thompson of Walls, 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Ingram Boulevard Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

AQUILLA SORRELL, 44, of Memphis, food service worker for Memphis City Schools and employee of Porter Laundry, died Saturday at UT Bowld Hospital. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Leland. She leaves two daughters, Felecia Sorrell and Monica Sorrell; two sons, Barry Sorrell and Terry Sorrell; a sister, Brenda Sorrell, and three brothers, Franklin Sorrell, Shelby Sorrell and Charles Sorrell, all of Memphis, and five grandchildren.

McKINLEY THOMAS, 90, of Memphis, formerly of Cool Valley, Mo., retired owner of a plumbing service, died Saturday at Cordova Rehab & Nursing Center. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran and member of New Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Thomas, the husband of Geraldine Thomas, also leaves a sister, Ethel Harry of East Chicago, Ill., and a niece and nephew who cared for him, Mabel Shelton and Earl Shelton, both of Memphis.

CONNIE LEE TURNER, 89, of Memphis, homemaker, died Friday at Wesley Highland Manor. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of White Chapel AME Church. Mrs. Turner, the widow of Jesse Turner, leaves two sons, Millard Turner of Milwaukee and Conard Turner of Hopkinsville, Ky.; a sister, Osie N. Davis of Columbus, Ga.; a nephew and two nieces who cared for her, Richard Milan, Bethel Smith and Carolyn Mitchell, all of Memphis, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

FRANKLIN R. WHALEY, 85, of Covington, retired from Mueller Brass and cattleman-farmer, died Sunday at Methodist Healthcare-North. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home in Covington with burial in R. H. Munford cemetery there. He was a member of Covington Church of Christ and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin. Mr. Whaley, the widower of Evelyn Whaley, leaves a daughter, Pat Whaley Farabee; two sons, Andy Whaley and Harold F. Whaley, and a brother, Virgil Whaley, all of Covington, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

L. C. WRIGHT, 80, of Memphis, retired pathology technician from Methodist Healthcare, died Friday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a deacon of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship. Mr. Wright, the husband of Emma D. Wright, also leaves two daughters, Sunkista Wright of Memphis and Carrie Wright of Hayti, Mo.; four sons, L. C. Wright Jr. and Solomon Wright, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Lawrence Wright and Alex Wright, both of Memphis; a sister, Carrie Wright, and a brother, Solomon Wright, both of Kansas City, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She leaves a son, Shawn Young of Memphis; her mother, Myra Riddle, and two sisters, Myra Geeslin and Diane Turner, all of Coldwater; a brother, Frank Riddle of Memphis, and a grandson.

Ellis, leaves three daughters, Jeannine Ellis Brumfield of Wimberley, Texas, and Anita Ellis Perry and Patricia Ellis Schneller, both of Bartlett; a son, Donald Lee Ellis of La Plata, Mo.; a sister, Sue Kilpatrick of Cordova, three grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
