SAMUEL P. RYLAND, 88, of Memphis, retired from Chemetron Corp., after 37 years and Mid-South Oxygen Co., after 12 years, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. He was a member of Crusaders Sunday School Class and was chairman of the official board of Mullins United Methodist Church, was a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the Park Avenue Lodge of Freemasons and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Southern Jursidiction USA. Mr. Ryland, the widower of Evelyn B. Ryland and the husband of Trudie Ryland, also leaves a daughter, Janet Alexander of Ohio; a son, John Ryland of Dallas; a brother, Jimmy Ryland of Memphis, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

GLYNDA L. O. SELLERS, 50, of Camp Hill, Pa., formerly of Memphis, registered nurse for Milestone Nursing, died Thursday at her home.
