LORONZO RICHARDSON, 38, of 1117 S. Cooper, died Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Princeton Avenue Full Gospel Church with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. N. H. Owens & Son Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. He leaves a daughter, Tynisha Richardson; two sons, Loronzo Richardson Jr. and Courtney Richardson; his mother, Mary R. Harper; his father, Ben Garrett, and three brothers, Ellie Richardson, Andre' Williams and Orlandus Richardson, all of Memphis.

REV. JOSEPH NEALE RUTLAND, 72, of Memphis, retired minister, died Oct. 20 at Wesley Highland Towers. Memorial mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a Korean War Air Force veteran.

FRANCES MARIE RYAN, 80, of Germantown, grocery store owner, died Monday at Saint Francis Hospital. Cryptside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. Mrs. Ryan, the widow of Overton Taylor Ryan, leaves a daughter, Terry Moore of Bartlett; two sons, Pat Ryan of Germantown and Tom Ryan of Phoenix, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Memphis Humane Society.

ERNEST JAMES SCRUGGS, 65, of Memphis, employee of Adam's Mark hotel, died Monday at UT Bowld Hospital. Services will be at noon Saturday at Higher Grounds Church of God in Christ, where he was an associate minister, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Scruggs, the husband of Alice Dockery Scruggs, also leaves two stepsons, Teron Smith of Denver and Jared Somerville of Memphis.

GUDRUN H. SUGG, 91, of Memphis, teacher and homemaker, died Tuesday at Primacy Health Care. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park. Family Funeral Care Summer Avenue Chapel has charge. She was a Lutheran and a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans. Mrs. Sugg, the widow of William W. Sugg, leaves a son, Wermund Sugg of Germantown, and two grandsons. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

MACK WATKINS Jr., 70 of Memphis, security guard, died Tuesday at his home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. B. T. Auston & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Watkins, the husband of Barbara Watkins, also leaves two daughters, Kim Owens and Tammie Euell, both of Memphis; two sisters, Augustina Dockins of Flint, Mich., and Martha Ann Dockins of Memphis, and 10 grandchildren.

PATTYE WOOD WORTHAM, 72, of Memphis, homemaker, died Wednesday in Memphis. Services will be at noon Friday at Northridge/Woodhaven cemetery in Millington. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel has charge. She was a member of Forest Drive Civic Club and served on the Shelby County Beer Board for 30 years. She leaves two daughters, Phoebe Witte of Memphis and Pattye Tacker of Germantown; two sons, Pierce Wortham of Rosedale, Miss., and Paul Wortham of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and eight grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

EDDIE HUE YATES, 52, of Memphis, formerly of Coldwater, Miss., retired service station manager, died Oct. 24 at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services will be at noon Saturday at Greater St. Samaritan AME Church in Coldwater with burial in the church cemetery there. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater has charge. He leaves a daughter, Carolyn Douglas of Pontiac, Mich.; a son, Ronnie Douglas of Tunica, Miss.; his mother, Mattie Crawford of Coldwater; three sisters, Dorothy Yates of Orlando, Fla., Debra Moore of Memphis and Jacqueline Avant of Coldwater; five brothers, Levern Yates of Marion, Larry Yates of Coldwater, Dannie Yates and Stevie Yates, both of Memphis, and Jerry Yates of Kansas City, Mo., and five grandchildren.

JOSEPH STRAZIS, 86, of Milan, Tenn., retired from Ceco Corp., died Monday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be at noon Saturday at St. Casimir cemetery in Chicago. Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles, Ill., has charge. He was an Army Air Corps veteran and a communicant of St. Mathew's Catholic Church. Mr. Strazis, the husband of Joyce Strazis, also leaves local survivors, including a daughter, Frances Strazis of Memphis, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or St. Mathew's Catholic Church.

She was a mother board member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves six daughters, Velma Brown, Murlene Byrd, Bobbie Brown, Freida Hardy and Ardia Jones, all of Memphis, and Bernice Hardaway of Los Angeles; three sons, V. S. Stamps of Louisville, Ky., and James Anderson and Melvin Anderson, both of Memphis; a sister, Betty Turner of Baltimore, 31 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Armstrong, the husband of Joyce Armstrong, also leaves two daughters, Deresa Simmons of Hillside, N.J., and Alfreda Armstrong of Miami; three sons, Louis Armstrong III and Kelvin Armstrong, both of Memphis, and Stevie Armstrong of Miami, several sisters and brothers, and 13 grandchildren.

Ayers, leaves two daughters, Linda Pratt of Destin, Fla., and Elizabeth Flowers of Southaven; a son, Robert F. Ayers of Southaven, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
