STONEWALL WEBSTER MAYES, 78, of Holly Springs, Miss., retired from the Forestry Service, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at noon Friday at Free Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Holly Springs, where he was a deacon board and male chorus member, with burial in the church cemetery there. J. F. Brittenum & Son Funeral Home in Holly Springs has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Cedar Grove Lodge and former president of the Marshall County Singing Union. Mr. Mayes, the husband of Mattie Lee King Mayes, also leaves local survivors including a daughter, Bessie L. Waller of Memphis, 30 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

LOIS MAE ALLEN, 85, of Moscow, Tenn., homemaker, died Thursday at Methodist Healthcare-North. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. She was a member of Williston Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen, the wife of Clyde W. B. G. 'SID' BAILEY, 86, of Arlington, general manager for Ford Motor Co., died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.
