Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Southaven with burial in the church cemetery. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel has charge. He was former title officer, vice president, general counsel and secretary for Mid-South Title Insurance Co., a graduate of Southern Law University, a World War II veteran, former president of White Station Civic, Memphis Exchange Club and Tennessee Land Title Association, where he was also a member, former Master of DeSoto Lodge 299 Free & Accepted Masons, member of American Legion Post 1, Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shrine Temple, Second Presbyterian Church, Tennessee and Memphis bar associations and Colonial Country Club, and volunteer for Shelby United Neighbors, American Red Cross and American Cancer Society. Mr. Meyer, the husband of Iris Pursell Meyer for 52 years, also leaves a brother, Ernest J. Meyer of Fremont, Calif. The family requests that memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
