ADA MAE COLLINS LASTER, 75, retired teacher for Memphis City Schools, died Tuesday at her home. Services will be at noon Saturday at Trinity CME Church, where she was a member and stewardess, with burial Monday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta. Mrs. Laster, the widow of Leonard T. Laster, leaves a daughter, Edith Samynna Laster Jones, and a son, Collins Laster, both of Memphis, and eight grandchildren.

THOMAS D. LAVENDER JR., 78, of Jonesboro, Ark., formerly of Memphis, retired landscape architect from the Corps of Engineers, died Tuesday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Graveside services will be at noon Friday at Owenby cemetery in Lewisburg, Tenn. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran and member of Greater Vision Ministries in Jonesboro. He leaves a daughter, Amy L. Bennett of Valdosta, Ga.; a son, Andrew Thomas Lavender of Jonesboro, and five grandchildren.

RUSS LYNES, 45, of Memphis, electronics technician, died Tuesday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis.
