VAN V. GAINES, 78, of West Memphis, retired parts manager for International Harvester, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. He was a Mason and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mr. Gaines, the widower of Anna Bell Gaines and Myrtle Speck Gaines, leaves three sons, Truman Fisher Gaines of Wichita, Kan., Charles Gaines of Alexandria, La., and Jerry Gaines of Marion; a stepdaughter, Martha Aitken of Georgia, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that memorials be sent to Cornerstone Baptist Church.

STEPHEN ANDRE GLENN, 42, of Memphis, died Saturday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. N. J. Ford and Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a Baptist. C. LAWRENCE HAWKINS, 93, of Memphis, died Saturday at Saint Francis Nursing Home. He was a Mason and a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
