CHARLES THOMAS COLEMAN, 73, of Memphis, retired HVAC technician for NAS Millington after 35 years, died of cancer Sunday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home Stage Road Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. He was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran, an assistant scout master, and a 1944 graduate of Nicholas Blackwell High School (now Bartlett High School). Mr. Coleman, the husband of Norma Luna Coleman, also leaves a daughter, Robin Coleman Pennington of Byhalia, Miss.; a son, Mark Randall Coleman of Bartlett; a sister, Marie Coleman Barfield of Nashville, and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Broadmoor Baptist Church Benevolence.

CHARLES COOPERWOOD, 67, of Memphis, retired insurance agent, died of heart failure Sunday at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at noon Thursday at Bloomfield Baptist Church with burial in New Park cemetery. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Cooperwood, the husband of Cora Cooperwood, also leaves two daughters, Daphne Brown and Terri Jones, both of Memphis; a son, Charles Cooperwood Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Louise Shields and Catherine Faulkner, both of Memphis, and four grandchildren.

LILLIAN A. DECKELMAN, 93, of Memphis, homemaker, died of heart failure Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. She was a member of Morris Memorial Primitive Baptist Church. She leaves four daughters, Mary Elizabeth Thompson of Memphis, Laverne Rush of Collierville, Sylvia Dunkerson of Paris, Tenn., and Joy Anita Webb of Millington; three sons, Elder Thaddeus Eugene Deckelman of Millington, James Vernon Deckelman of Collierville and Donald Lavelle Deckelman of Jonesboro, Ark.; six sisters, Deckelman and Maxine Parker, both of Harrisburg, Ark., Catherine Netter and Brenda Brunner, both of Memphis, Callie Green of Lakeland, Tenn., and Wanda Whitney of Bartlett; two brothers, Thomas Elllcey of Memphis and Paul Ellcey of Harrisburg, 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

HELEN T. FERGUSON, 84, of Memphis, homemaker, died of heart failure Sunday at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Norris Road Church of Christ, where she was a member, with burial in Calvary. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Ferguson, the widow of Andrew J. Ferguson Jr., leaves two daughters, Andranetta `Ann' Moten of Memphis and Regina Collins of Detroit; a son, Conrad Ferguson of Memphis; three sisters, Gloria Smith and Ida Thompson, both of Sheffield, Ala., and Rose Garrett of Memphis; a brother, Curtis Thompson of Sheffield, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

SARAH B. GAITHER, 60, of Collierville, homemaker, died of heart failure Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gaither, the wife of Leon Gaither, also leaves two daughters, Beth Boothe and Suzie Wilson; a son, Jeff Gaither, and her father, Milton Ballard, all of Collierville; two sisters, Linda Loftin of Mt. Pleasant, Miss., and Patsy Meeks of Collierville, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Trinity Broadcasting.

CESAR CASTANEDA GARCIA, 28, of Memphis, landscaper, died Sunday at Shelby County Health Care Center of an apparent homicide. Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Felipe Angeles (Mexico) cemetery. He was a Catholic. He leaves a fiancee with whom he lived, Veronica Cura, and a son, Cesar Eduardo Castenda, both of Memphis; his mother, Juana Garcia, and seven sisters, Socorro Castaneda G., Laura Castaneda G., Dolores Castaneda G., Alejandra Castaneda G., Ana Aide Castaneda G., Blanca Rosio Castaneda G., and Maria de los Angeles Castaneda G., all of Mexico, and three brothers, Simon Castaneda G. Jr. and Leonardo Castaneda G., both of Memphis, and Rogelio Castaneda G. of Mexico.

Mr. Govan, the husband of Cora Govan, also leaves three daughters, Patricia Colbert of Arizona, and Tanya R. Govan and Yvonne F. Govan, both of Memphis; a son, Charles E. Govan II; a stepdaughter, Danielle Mask, and a stepson, Ronnie Barnes, all of Memphis; two brothers, Benjamin Govan and June Walter Govan, both of Chicago, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Moorer of Atlanta, LaWanda Long of Germany, and Linnie Denman and Regina Smith, both of Memphis; two sons, James L. Jones of Atlanta and Jasper Bledsoe of Memphis; three sisters, Lillian Graham, Callie `Bonnie' Rutherford and Pearline Scott, all of Memphis; a brother, Willie Arnold of Gary, Ind., 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jones, the husband of Virginia Sue Long Jones for 23 years, also leaves a daughter, Rebecca Jones; a son, Raymond Ernest Jones, and a sister, Peggy Novarese, all of Memphis, and two brothers, Waymond Jones of Atlanta and James Jones of Bartlett.

Mr. Naquin, the husband of Carissa Lea Naquin for three years, also leaves his parents, Dianne and Nolan `Buddy' Naquin, and his grandmother, Annie Marie Naquin of Tampa, Fla. Mr. Parker, the widower of Lecristie Parker, leaves a daughter, Beverly Parker Boler of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sons, Albert Kevin Parker of San Diego, Richard Adrian Parker of Richmond and Byron Parker of Newport, R.I.; a sister, Thelma Jackson of Richmond, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
