SAMUEL BADDOUR - Funeral Services for SAMUEL BADDOUR, 89 years old, will be at 2:00 P.M. on September 17, 2002 at the Brownsville Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Reverend Will Jones. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Baddour died at his residence in Brownsville, Tennessee on Sunday, September 15, 2002. Mr. Baddour was born on December 8, 1912 in Covington, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Dr. Louis D. Baddour and Ester Haddad Baddour.
Mr. Baddour served his country in World War II as an infantryman in the Army. Following the war, he was a mason and a merchant in Stanton and Brownsvillie for over 60 years having owned and managed Baddour's Department Store and The Bargain Store. Mr. Baddour was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as Deacon of the Church.
Mr. Baddour is survived by his wife, Margaret Baddour of Brownsville, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Harry Baddour and Beth Baddour of Jackson, TN and Dr. Larry Baddour and Kathye Baddour of Knoxville, TN. Grandchilden Sam and Michael Baddour of Jackson, TN and Anna Calloway of Jackson, MS; Sisters, Marie Baddour Cobb of Memphis, TN and Emma Baddour Tucker of Richardson, TN; Brother, Louis Baddour of Brownsville, TN.
Pallbearers include Dr. Rusty Abernathy, Mitch Baddour, Dr. Michael Cobb, Phil Gomez, Larry Hill, Reed Hill, Wayne Morse and Don Tapley.
