KELLY, 79, of Memphis, retired professor emeritus for the University of Memphis after 13 years, and former educator, coach, teacher, principal and professor in Missouri and Illinois, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Odd Fellows Lodge, and was a Mason, an Army Air Corps veteran, an all-state football guard in Virginia and was editor of various publications at the University of Memphis. Mr. Kelly, the husband of Aleda Kelly for 54 years, also leaves a daughter, Pat Hendren of Batesville, Miss.; a son, Michael Kelly of Memphis, and four grandchildren.
