ALTON HARDIN, 98, of Corinth, Miss., retired farmer, died Thursday at Methodist Healthcare-North. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lakeview Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and trustee, with burial in Forrest Memorial Park cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home has charge. He leaves local survivors including a son, William Hardin of Memphis, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

EARNEST McDONALD, 86, of Corinth, Miss., retired farmer, died Friday at Corinth Health & Rehab. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth with burial in Holly Church cemetery. He was a member of Olive Hill Baptist Church. Mr. McDonald, the husband of Lois McDonald, also leaves local survivors including a daughter, Gwyn Clark of Memphis, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

MARGARET RAGGETT BLACK, 77, of Byhalia, Miss., retired licensed practical nurse, died Wednesday in Byhalia. Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch has charge. Mrs. Black, the widow of Gill R. Black, leaves three sons, Gill R. Black Jr. of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Ronald W. Black of St. Francisville, La., and Chester A. Black of Byhalia; three sisters, Ina B. Robinson of Parker, Calif., Dorothy A. Amsden of Memphis and Edna A. King of Brownsville, Tenn.; three brothers, John C. Raggett of Mobile, Ala., James L. Raggett of Downey, Calif., and W. Dewey Raggett of Southaven, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.

LARRY L. BOYD, 23, of St. Louis, formerly of Somerville, Tenn., food service worker, died Monday at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tenn., with burial in the church cemetery. Jefferson Mortuary in Millington has charge. He leaves a son, LeTevin Randolph of Stanton, Tenn.; his father, Roosevelt Stocking of St. Louis; his mother and stepfather, Shirley Boyd Kee and Ronnie Kee of Somerville; three brothers, Carlos Boyd of Memphis, and Pierre Kee and Laron Kee, both of Somerville; his grandmother, Georgia Boyd, and his stepgrandmother, Shirley Lewis, both of St. Louis, and his stepgreat-grandmother, Freddie Mae Kee of Somerville.

JERRY LEMOND BROOKS, 26, of Memphis, died Sunday in Memphis. McGhee and Sons Funeral Home in Holly Springs, Miss., has charge. He leaves two sons, Jerry Montague and Jerrick Gray, and his mother and stepfather, Gloria and Edward Brown, all of Memphis; his father, John T. Brooks of Fayette County, Tenn.; four sisters, Jacqueline Brooks, Norlene Brooks and Shontie Brooks, all of Memphis, and Clara Brooks of Fayette County; two brothers, John T. Brooks Jr. of Memphis and Floyd Brooks of Fayette County, and his grandparents, Robert Hunt of Memphis and Gladys Malone of Fayette County.

ROSCOE DRADEN CHANDLER, 78, of Memphis, retired bank examiner, died Thursday at Humboldt (Tenn.) General Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, where he was a communicant, with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Family Funeral Care Summer Avenue Chapel has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Chandler, the husband of Betty Lou Chandler for 22 years, also leaves two stepsons, James D. Harper of Portland, Ore., and Gary L. Harper of Rossville, Tenn.; two sisters, Evelyn Chandler Strickland of Nashville and Nelladeane Chandler Burnett of Alexander City, Ala., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.

ANNIE LILLIAN CRUMPTON-HAYES, 58, of 3490 W. Horn Lake, copy shop manager for LeMoyne-Owen College, died Tuesday at her home. Services will be at noon Monday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in New Park cemetery. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel has charge. Mrs. Crumpton-Hayes, the wife of Nehemiah Hayes, also leaves two daughters, Velma Crumpton and Wanda Wallace; a son, Anthony Crumpton, and two brothers, Ivory Crumpton Jr. and Joseph Crumpton, all of Memphis, and two grandchildren.

She was a member of First Evangelical Church Triple L's. Mrs. Duke, the widow of Vendall Duke, leaves a daughter, Joann Littlejohn, and a son, William T. Barry and Valerie Diana Washburn, all of Bartlett, and Pat Lawler of Chattanooga; two sons, Jim Ephlin and Tim Ephlin, both of Bartlett; two sisters, Hazel Guthrie of Alton, Ill., and Beatrice Latham of St. Peters, Mo., 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hearn, the widow of Roy Hearn, leaves two daughters, Janet Paden of Belleville and Dolly Totty of Centerville, Tenn.; two sisters, Jane Morris of Ocala, Fla., and Martha Jones of Memphis, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
