PEARL TAYLOR, 74, of New York, formerly of Memphis, died Tuesday at Long Beach Medical Center. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Taylor, the widow of Leon Taylor, leaves three daughters, Patricia Lambert of Tampa, Annie Taylor of Millington and Loretta Crum of California; a son, Victor Young of New York; two brothers, Bill Redmond of Detroit and Mathew Redmond of California, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

FREDDIE L. THOMAS JR., 67, of Eads, Tenn., retired laborer, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at noon Saturday at Gray's Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Eads with burial in Cypress Creek cemetery in Arlington. Barlow Funeral Home in Covington has charge. Mr. Thomas, the husband of Mosie L. Thomas, also leaves two daughters, Beverly Sorokey of Albany, N.Y., and Barbara Johnson of Memphis; a son, Freddie L. Thomas III of Eads; four sisters, Omega Williams, Nonia M. Edingbourgh, Mable Crawford and Willie Mae Hodges, and three brothers, Columbus Thomas, L. C. Thomas and Edward Nesbit, all of Memphis, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

ANNIE E. TURNER, 86, of Byhalia, Miss., retired from St. Francis Hospital, died Wednesday at Collierville Health & Rehab Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with burial in Memorial Garden cemetery in Lyon, Miss. She was a member of Barton Baptist Church and Barton Ladies Club. Mrs. Turner, the widow of Garvin W. Turner, leaves two sons, Robert W. Turner of Byhalia and Walter Mac Turner of Covington; two sisters, Ruby Holloway of Greenville, Miss., and Lois Grogan of Panola, Okla., 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Barton Baptist Church.

REV. BUFORD R. TYLER, 76, of Memphis, pastor of Geeter Park Baptist Church and retired supervisor from the Postal Service after 36 years, died Monday at Graceland Nursing Home. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was associate minister of St. John Baptist Church on Vance, president of the Memphis Baptist Ministers Alliance, an Army veteran, recipient of the Purple Heart, 32nd-degree Mason, a member of Dale Consistory of Dallas, Dallas Metropolitan Lodge 146 and Toastmasters International, golden member of NAACP, graduate of Moody Bible College, Bishop College and Chrichton College, and vice moderator of West Tennessee BM&E; Association. Rev. Tyler, the husband of Johnnie M. Tyler, also leaves a son, Roderic Tyler of Lancaster, Texas; a sister, Sylvia Fuller of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Finus O. Tyler of Sealy, Texas, and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Geeter Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
