THADEUS EARL BARBER, 71, of Memphis, retired chief petty officer in the Navy, died of heart failure Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at noon Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown with burial in Forest Hill cemetery Midtown. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Barber, the widower of Gloria Barber, leaves two sons, Michael H. Barber of Hernando and Richard Earl Barber of Miami; a brother, James Barber and his mother, Eddie Mason, both of Olive Branch, and five grandchildren.

LORA CRUTCHFIELD BOYD, 57, of 6047 Foxridge, died of cancer Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-Germantown. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Rossville, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. H. C.
